Dropped in for lunch after googling local eateries. Excellent food and service. Would definitely recommend.
Just had a beautiful breakfast at the French Rooms. Scrumptious Eggs Benedict &Eggs Royale. French press coffee is beautiful. Thank you for the lovely customer service.
A dinner that I rated as 'very good' until the tarte tatin arrived, which was sublime. Would be good to see a better selection of French wines, given the French theme.
This place is a 6 star special french bistro. Really enjoyable lunch experience. They are doing everything so right that it’s worth driving 30 miles out of your way for. Can’t remember the last time I ordered a burger but this one couldn’t be better; bourguignon beef, with gherkins, mushrooms, fried onions, emmental cheese, beautifully balanced in a brioche bun. Unbelievably good.
Food is five-star, excellent menu with regular changes (reflecting chef versatility). However, this is a restaurant where booking is essential. Only a small number of low-seat tables available for coffee/tea and snacks. We were unable to take tea one afternoon and nearly unable the next morning (we were given a 30-minute limit on a table). So this is an establishment you need to organise a sitting; not casual drop-in!
Maybe the best eaterie in the North. Certainly the food is excellent and the service is good. Always a pleasure to return to
We were eight loud Americans and our servers, Taylor and Stacy, took great care of us. On top of the great food, this made for an exceptional experience. The sea bass was perfect; the cassoulet was tasty and interesting (quinoa involved) and even the sides (potatoes were involved) made us smile. Highly recommended.
Ambience and service great. Portions tiny. Quite pricey.
Amazing! Absolutely pleased with food and service. Visiting Ireland for a week and had incredible meals but this one was the best. We had the Cajun sea bass, seafood gratin, lavender chicken, vegetable cousselet and was thoroughly pleased. Bushmills coffee was strong but scrumptious as were the deserts. Creme brulee, chocolate cake, orange almond cake, and apple cake.
