Coach tour stop off so the staff had to deal with a large group of customers; and did so excellently. Food was standard pub grub. Good pint of Guinness. Amusing Game of Thrones themed room with very unsturdy iron throne.

Room Review. I can't imagine that the high star rating is from the rooms, rather the restaurant for GoT fans. Room was drab and in need of updating and repairs. Bathroom floor was peeling. The bed was tiny-felt smaller than a double - guess one of us could have slept in the twin bed but then we would have had no place for our luggage. Not to mention the head of the bed was to the hallway wall...doors slam, people are loud. The town is small and sleepy and though close all the attractions in the North, there is nothing to do there. Would not stay here. But it was cheap...you get what you pay for.

Stopped off to see one of the Game of Thrones doors and decided to stay for food. The atmosphere was just so relaxed and friendly that my wife and I decided to stay for something to eat and we are so glad we did. With both of us being big seafood lovers we both had mussels but with different sauces and both dishes were amazing. The staff are so friendly and attentive to every guest. We were so impressed we have decided to return for a short break with our kids

The venue

Nice pub decent decor quite nice to have a few game of thrones decorative pieces to give you a little entertainment.

The food

We had the mussels 1896 for starter and
We had the roast pork loin And Guinness pie for mains. The mussells was incredible if I was to recommend anything here this would be it. Mussels don't get quite as good as that.

The pork loin was ok the skin was wet and fatty, it would have been nice if it was crispy. The Guinness pie was the go to dish after reading reviews. It was fairly nice wouldn't say it was an award winner but was good.

Reasonable price wise happy with that.

Overall

A good experience happy with it would go again if going by for a casual meal but I would certainly go back for mussels

I went there as a lunch stop for the Giant's Causeway day tour, and ordered a Guinness beef stew pie with fries. The puff pastry was crispy perfection, and the stew was very hearty. Fries were great (could use a bit of salt), wait staff was friendly. I have no complaints. Their main attractions, the 6th Game of Thrones door and the Iron throne replica, was great to take pictures with. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at The Fullerton Arms.

I have been here as part of a "Giant's Causeway Tour" for a lunch stop. I had the Burger with chips and it wasn't that good. Normally I would give only one star, but since I saw the real pub where you can eat and drink when you are not coming with a tour and it looked good and has a much higher variety of food.

Great food, new menu... Mussels are lovely.. Staff are really friendly, efficient and warm... Craft beers available as well as all the usuals.. Nice rooms too and perfect location for the Giants Causeway and Rope Bridge

Popped in here twice while indulging in a long week end stay in Bushmills.. Entered via the beautifully carved Game of Thrones door & was pleasantly surprised to see that well behaved dogs were part of the local clientele! Very welcoming- friendly staff, cozy relaxed atmosphere and the food is 5*****!!! Great menu serving huge portions of fresh quality food! I highly recommend the Raspberry & white chocolate scones- first time I've ever had to use a knife & fork to eat a scone!!! Never met Mary the 'scone baker' but will definitely return soon & thank her personally!

After a long walk on Portrush East Strand my Mum and Dad put me in the van. I thought we were making the long drive back home but to my surprise they took me somewhere new. We parked on a busy road behind a bus and they took me through a funny door with a dragon on it. I was a wee bit scared as there were so many strange smells. When I went in I could smell lovely food and lots of other dogs. An older springer spaniel said hello as my family sat at their table and he let me know there was nothing to be scared of. My family joined some of their friends and they had 2 dogs with them too. Omar and Lola have been here before and were happy to share their water bowl and a strange liquid which they said was doggy beer but none of us liked it too much. My Dad tried to give me a treat but there was far too much going on for me to eat it. My family ordered their food and it smelled amazing. There was cheese and pears and soup and mushrooms for their first course. I didn't get any scraps, which means it was very good. Then a lovely lady came past, she seemed to work here as she chatted to all the dogs and humans. She stopped with me and took the time to get me to eat my treat, it was lovely. Then the main course came for my family and their friends. I could smell beef and chicken and pork, there were vegetables and mash and gravies. It all smelled amazing but I was a good girl and lay on the floor beside my Mum and Dad. They both had the beef and although I heard them saying how good it was I did get some scraps, more from my Mum than my Dad. Then I could smell crumble and custard and chocolate cake and sticky toffee and Terry's chocolate orange. Mum's friend Ricky made a joke that Terry might want it back, it wasn't very funny. Then Mum took me for a walk out to the garden at the back, there were loads of smells of dogs who had been before and it was nice to be outside to get comfortable. Omar and Lola came out just after me and we said hello again. Then we went back in and said hello to the 2 wee puppies who had arrived and the nice schnauzer sitting on his owners lap, sometimes I wish I was that small but I know when I get home I can lie up on the sofa with Mum. The humans chatted and I heard them talking about rugby, we have rugby balls at home as our boys play but they aren't as much fun as tennis balls. After a while Mum's friend Sean came in, he seemed to be the boss and was asking if we were happy. My family and their friends said how delicious the food was and how happy they were that their dogs were allowed in. Then my family and everyone paid the bills, gave big hugs and we went out to the cars. I slept in the van on my sleeping bag the whole way home. I really want to go back to that place again as I was really well looked after and the food was delicious. A huge big woof woof from Copper and family
