The Painted Lady is a long-distance migrant, coming here in the Summer from the desert fringes of Northern Africa, the Middle East and central Asia, recolonising in mainland Europe and reaching Britain and Ireland

The Giant’s Causeway has launched its very own Book Club hosted by author Claire Savage.
The book club, which kicked off at the end of June, will be held in the Causeway Hotel on the last Thursday of each month for some light-hearted discussion and debate.
Our next Book Club event will take place on Thursday 26th July where we will discuss Andrew Greer’s book ‘Less’ which won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for fiction and is set to be a great summer read.
