Went yesterday for food and then stayed for the ac/dc ? gig. Food was lovely and service great. Gig fab. Thoroughly enjoyed it !

Went for a sneaky lunch treat with the kids arrived at 1.55pm and luckily were still able to have the £5 menu ... which was delicious ! The burgers and chips were beyond yummy and the staff were so friendly and service was awesome . We will definitely be back !!

We had a fantastic night on New Years Eve, band were brilliant...thanks to all the staff!

Fantastic band - Strictly No Ballroom and I have to say very impressed with the door staff (very obliging to some customers with a little too much to drink) definitely be back.

Called in yesterday for some lunch the £5 lunch menu is great not only value for money but lovely food & just enough for lunch time. Definately will be back great food & service

Booked for 14 of us to have our Xmas Dinner. Excellent food, great service on the night and during the booking process.

Prices are very competitive and great value for money, would definitely recommend this venue.



Plus, AC?DC were on top form and we'd great seats by the stage!!

Awesome place really cool staff super events with big names great food and drinks and I have been in before when my mates band played in it and I got to meet Shawn Jones tonight from California and it’s just a lovely place to come to chill out and have a rest and enjoy it all and the staff have so much time for you. Would highly recommend it to everyone deffo a must see place call in and see them folks

A group of 6 of us were here tonight for a cocktail class with Johnny. Such a good night! Johnny knew his stuff and was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely meal in the Goat's Toe, served by a very friendly and helpful young lady. First time in here since the fire, a good job has been done with the restoration, only minor concern is the volume of the good music, a little less in your face would be better. All in all, I would recommend The Goat's Toe.

Food really good tonight but was disappointed when was told couldn't order dessert after main as kitchen had closed. Our table was booked for 8 and we werent advised of this on booking or arrival that we could run out of time for dessert. Lucikily a second waitress came and was able to sort us with dessert.

Had lunch with a couple of friends, we all thought the menu was reasonably priced and plenty of choices. I got the steak pitta, and sweet potato fries, it was very nice but a bit too salty. My friends were happy with their choice burgers and their Dirty Fries were gorgeous! I was a bit disappointed with my dessert which was the raspberry shortcake. It was literally 3 small shortbread biscuits(which weren’t home made) with a few raspberries and cream. The food was a bit slow on coming but the staff were very friendly, attentive and smiling. We will definitely be back to try something else.

Food was ok service was very slow took nearly 1hr from sitting down to food arrived and it's wasn't busy. Lovely bar and staff were friendly.

Went in for lunch today, about 7 people in for food, starter came out over cooked rubbery and soggy squid isn’t what I ordered. Sent back everything was fine got it took off the bill. Person with me ordered the pulled duck burger, the pulled pork came out it was offered to be rectified but had already waited abit for mains giving there was starters before. The server was a great help just the food was lacklustre

Was in yesterday for lunch with my mum and sisters as we checked out the menu on line first and it looked lovely but unfortunately none of us were greatly impressed, decor was lovely but food was not great. Mum got the scampi and the portion size was ridiculous it was more like a starter, the desserts left a lot to be desired, my sister got the snickers Eton mess which turned out to be a very small bowl of cream ( no meringue at all ) and 2 very thinly sliced pieces of snickers on top, when we said about this to the waitress she agreed it wasn't good but felt like she couldn't say anything when we ordered it, my mum, sister and myself got the chocolate orange fudge cake which had no layer of fudge or chocolate through the middle making it dry and therefore just a sponge with an icing on top. Sorry but quite disappointing and won't be back.

Just had food and although the food was ok the order was wrong, service terrible and the portion size was terrible! to the table across from us who ordered the same thing!! NOT impressed at all and wont be back!!

We arrived today looking forward to a lunch date on the £5 lunch menu, only to be told it was unavailable because they had just put out the normal menus (it was bang on 2pm when we arrived!).

We looked at our watch and explain it's still 2pm in the hope common sense would prevail, but no, apparently the time didn't matter because they had already take the lunch menus off the table - like it was our fault they took the menus early?

All this made worse by rude staff who made us feel bad for even asking for the lunch menu.

Really disappointed with the experience (the staff in particular), hence me writing this review. Needless to say we won't be returning for food, neither will our family, nor will our close friends. Treating customers this badly is no ok, such a shame.

Very poor set up extremely disorganised. Place needs a bit of structure. My first impression was extremely poor.

My last two visits to the goats toe have been extremely disappointing. On both occasions I ordered gin and tonics only to be served something from their 'gin fusion' menu. Surely your bar staff should ask the customer if they want 200mls of tonic poured into their gin for them? And to then be charged £8.50 for the privilege is just plain ridiculous. After being a customer for years I will not be back.

Came in with my family for the £5 lunch. As soon as we entered we were told "no tables" by the barstaff who then ignored us completely. We then asked how long it would be until a table was available only to be told they're new tables. Poor customer service /total lack of customer service.
