Few actors have the stage pedigree as that of Glenn Carter.
Glenn, who features as Che in Evita at the Grand Opera House until 11 August, has played countless musical roles, including Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar (also in the 2000 film version) as well as Tommy DeVito in the London Premiere Cast of Jersey Boys.
Grab your ticket to see Glenn before Evita end on 11 August at http://bit.ly/GOHevita.

Went to see the Peter Pan Pantomime with my 3yr old daughter, and her grandparents. It was absolutely fantastic! It kept us entertained from beginning to end. The cast were brilliant, and the 3D effects were fantastic.. even though my daughter and I both nearly jumped out of our seats! The staff in the Opera House were very polite & helpful.. would definitely recommend a visit.

User

Went to see Blood Brothers and the performance was amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed it. My only complaint would be the seats...they were so uncomfortable and I have been to The Grand Opera House so many times and last night was the first time I found the seats uncomfortable.

User

We go to the panto every year on Christmas Eve and this year it really exceeded itself. We loved the 3D surprise, the cast, costumes, set, everything was just perfect not forgetting the all important gags and our May x Can’t wait for next year. Merry Christmas to all

User

Took my daughter to see Peter Pan last night for the first time in years. Will definitely make it a regular thing every year from now on. Absolutely brilliant, we laughed non stop from start to finish. The music was great, the cast were superb, especially Paul Burling and his impressions, May McFettridge and her digs at everyone and everything. The staff were so friendly and helpful from the minute we walked in until home time. But our favourite was David Bedella as Captain Hook, he was outstanding and had us in stitches. Brilliant night had by us both, we loved it and still talked about it today. Thank you for giving us a great Christmas treat.

User

Derren Brown: Underground. Derren was amazing as always! It’s the fourth time we have seen him and it won’t be the last. Never ceases to amaze and wow me and leave me wondering how...

User

Blood brothers. A great storyline with humour & sadness combined. Great cast too and fantastic backdrops. Lynn Paul unable to make it on the night but the stand in ( didnt catch her name) didnt disappoint she had a beautiful voice. A very enjoyable night all round

User

Blood brothers - what a fantastic show and a beautiful place to watch it. We had a box and could see everything on the stage very well

User

Always an amazing family day/night out. Great shows and the staff are always so friendly and helpful

User

Went to see Blood Brothers yesterday and the show and facilities were great. The one issue I did have was that I purchased a ticket for a seat that was listed as not having a restricted view (seat u19 in stalls) but this was not the case as we had a pillar directly in front of us. Other than that it was a great experience but I do feel that this seat should be sold for what it is.

User

We went to see the play 'blood brothers' amazing play and amazing staff although I was accompanied by two wheelchair users and they were not happy with where they were sat. For one, it was so far to the left they could barely see the stage and, secondly, the area they were sitting in was on a slope, so they spent the entire play sliding down out of their chairs and having to reposition themselves which definitely effected their experience of the play. Otherwise, a stunning building with such a beautiful design, love the elephants!

User

Yesterday my wife and i went to "Jane Eyre" to the last show in the evening. A nice Production, well played by the actors. But there is one thing i cannot understand and after almost 24 hours i am really angry about that you can take something to drink and eat into the Opera during the Shows!!! Are you serious? The stalls looked like a mess after the show. People just left their plastic glasses, chips and other stuff on the bottom...i really felt ashamed seeing the staff cleanig up after. This is just such a wonderful Building with the wooden scuptures und elephants, the glass roof is extraordinary and lovely. I'm an musician and would love to play in there. But not when i see that the audience is drinking beer, coke and eating chips...perhaps this is normal in the UK and Ireland (Olympia Theatre Dublin the same), i find this a disrespectful behavior from the audience and i felt sorry for the actors!!! The stage is a holy place, humans are performing live, it isn't a cinema or you sit at home on the couch, they create unique moments, which make you laugh, cry etc.

And if people need something to drink and eat and can't wait at least three hours!!?, please charge them if they leave the rubbish and not think a second about it. That is not a highly cultured manner!

I am sorry for my bad english, i am from germany, but that is how i feel...

I hope there will be a change in the thinking about selling goods in Opera houses for the Managments.
