HAPPY EASTER everyone.

Great to see so many people like #teamgreencat taking comfort in the simple things. Time to bake and cook old favourites, try new recipes and experiment has been a lovely by-product of these strange days. Not amazing for the waistline but great for the soul!

The lovely Emily Joy McCorkell from Lo & Slo is collecting food items for our amazing local NHS teams. Our Caramel squares and Salted Caramel Brownies are a small gesture of thanks for the massive sacrifice these men and women are making over the coming weeks to protect us 💙 If you have anything you’d like to donate please get in touch with Emily.
Thanks to my mum 🙏 for using her time in isolation to make face masks for her friends and family! #stayathome

CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
It’s been a hard day for the whole Green Cat Team but we made the decision this morning to close until further notice. We want to protect our staff, customers, families and wider community.
We may offer a takeaway menu and bakery service but we’ll update you whenever we have time to process everything.
... Thank you for all your support and kindness at this difficult time for all of us.
We will be back at some stage.

To all our Green Cat customers and friends.
In light of the current situation we’d like to reassure our customers that as of last Tuesday (03/02/20) we implemented the following procedures.
- stringent hand washing for all staff... - suspension of children’s toys and colouring items - front of house to wash hands between every transaction. - regular sanitising of shared areas such as handles and card machine. - suspension of customer samples - no physical contact such as hand shaking with customers
As well as our existing measures we would ask customers to only use contactless . We have also suspended the self-service water station.
We will continue with stringent hand-washing and we would ask our customers to do the same .
To protect our community, staff and families we would ask anyone with any possible symptoms not to visit the cafe.
If any of our elderly or vulnerable customers are worried about visiting the cafe please contact us as we hope to be able to offer home deliveries locally for these people. We have spoken with Debbie in Eglinton Community Centre and will update this later.
These are unusual times for all of us but we intend to stay open for as long as we can serving the same great food and coffee.
