The Green Woodwork Club Description

Established in January 2014 the Green Woodwork Club meets once a month on Saturdays (usually 3rd or 4th) between 9. 30am - 1pm at the Club base near Comber (contact us for directions). New members always welcome. The club is led by Alexey Janes. Alexey has been working with unseasoned and recycled timber for over 15 years. He is a member of the Association of Pole Lathe Turners and Green Woodworkers and is insured to demonstrate and teach green woodwork. As well as the regular club meetings a number of full day workshops are also offered from time to time as are outside demonstrations. One of the most popular club activities is bodging - using the pole lathe to turn a variety of spindle items. For all club, workshop or demonstration enquires call Alexey on 07979 872292 or email alexeyjanes@gmail.com
