The Junction considers that it is reasonable for me as a parent of a severely disabled 9 year old girl to have to lift my precious daughter out of her wheelchair to lay her down on their dirty and unhygienic public toilet floor to change her. This not only denies my daughter the dignity she deserves in her toileting arrangements but also risks injury to my daughter and myself as she is at a weight now that requires two people for safe lifting. Also my daughter and other severely disabled children are more vulnerable to infection. After a year of being in contact with The Junction about provision of a changing places toilet with changing bench and hoist they have decided they don't have enough money to stop disabled people being changed on their dirty toilet floors even though just last year they have announced they have 30 million pounds to spend redeveloping the retail park. Shame on The Junction. Does your mission statement "To provide a welcoming, dynamic and safe environment, delivering a premier visitor experience with great value, excellent choice and first class customer service" not apply to disabled children and their carers?
Such a disgrace that The Junction Retail and Leisure Park have such distain and contempt for disabled children and young adults that they cannot provide proper toilet and changing facilities to allow them the dignity that they deserve. Once again they hide behind the false statement that these basic conversions are expensive and difficult when they are neither all while spending up to ยฃ30 million to make the facilities they have better for able bodied people and continuing to discriminate against the disabled. Shame on you this must be addressed as a matter of extreme urgency before a disabled child or their carer are seriously injured. No more excuses.
Junction one what a waste of space I used to enjoy a day here. But now its all empty spaces. Im disapointed adidas shop now has closed. Its not worth going to. You have money to invest in it. So where is it .More shops needed.
Junction Dung. Cold wet at most miserable place to visit. Most shops are empty. Tom Tailor Adidas and Nike good and 2 coffee shops. Place has potential but for now just crap... so an update... Adidas is closing and I heard Clarke's too. That's the best 2 shops in the place to close. I'm sorry but the place is pure shite. That leaves Tom Tailor and Starbucks. What's a serious waste of money. To the new buyers in my opinion you need to stick in a couple of silver T supports and roof that walk way. Keep us dry please. Fill in the walk way with a few small vendors such as hot dog stalls and flame grilled burger stalls, also them boys who fix phones and do their magic. Open a mauds ice cream parlour coz even in winter my wife fancies a waffle and a hot chocolate. You Have a cost and Starbucks and they are great. The pirate golf is a shame as it should be.inside with a costa or a timmys. Yes open a Tim Hortons and you will do great. Put the wee JCB place for kids inside just across from the new Mauds and flip me you're on a winner. Next isn't bad. I'm not sure about the Hiking shops as I've just trekked on past but for starters roof it.. whose bloody.idea was it to do that. We're.not in Florida my goodness. Anyway the next time I'm walking around at night to get my wee man to sleep I will be sure to fill you in
