was in tonight and the food side of things is under new management and a new menu from the last time I was in and I have to say I was well impressed with the choice on the menu and the early bird options. when the food arrived it was delicious. portion very good. couldn't find fault with anything and the staff were very good and friendly. I will be visiting as many Fridays as I can. highly reccommended

me and the other half went there to see what it was like the hospitality from the ladies ,serving us and at the bar were great ,food was fantastic and very filling well worth the money ,and I am certain we will start becoming regulars ;)

We were there last night ..Tuesday 15th of November and our meal was superb ..my partner got the vegetable soup to start then the rib eye steak and I got the turkey dinner with chips ...every mouthful was lovely ..the food was hot and the service was excellent. ..We really recommend the Lewis ...

Was here yesterday for lunchfirst time :) I ordered turkey and ham dinner but unfortunately they had mine left so the kind chef made me chargrilled chicken and gammon stuffed in place of it . Absolutely gorgeous and definitely will be back great value for money x

The food and service here is top notch I've never had a bad meal there which made us book it for our wedding venue they took 70 orders on the way in food arrived all at same time and only empty plates went back thanks for making a special day even more perfect

What an amazing day at Sam's Grill at the Lewis. Had 55 guests attend on Sunday 19th November to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. Our meal was wonderful all guests has great reviews. The staff where first class very helpful and nothing a bother. Thank you for making our day wonderful

Went last night for a birthday meal. First impression was no one in here eating especially on a Fri night at 8pm which is never a good sign! How right I was! Ordered the roast beef, seasonal veg & buttery mash. The beef was like rubber, tough as old boots it seemed as if it had been heated up in the microwave, on the plate were 6 pieces of broccoli, no other veg. The waitress appeared over at the table after about 30mins asking if everything was alright & if we were finished. Mine meal was hardly touched. Will not be back. Service was below average, meal was very poor.

We were at The Lewis for over 3 hours this afternoon. Sorry but the service was a bit ridiculous. Two people out of our family actually left an hour earlier than us because they got fed up. Yes it was busier than normal because it's mothers day but families were arriving after us, eating and drinking, then leaving before us. I couldn't believe it. We had to keep reminding the staff that we were actually still there too because if we wouldn't have spoken up, they probably would've just left us. It shouldn't take 3 hours to have a meal. There definitely needs to be more staff employed! They desperately need it! The food was average too. It wasn't anything special. Luckily it does cater for children, I have two, they can get up and play without annoying anyone. But if they didn't have that set out for the kids I would've left a lot sooner because my children wouldn't have been able to stay sat for over 3 hours. I very much doubt we'll be going back as a family for awhile.

We were at The Lewis for over 3 hours this afternoon. Sorry but the service was a bit ridiculous. Two people out of our family actually left an hour earlier than us because they got fed up. Yes it was busier than normal because it's mothers day but families were arriving after us, eating and drinking, then leaving before us. I couldn't believe it. We had to keep reminding the staff that we were actually still there too because if we wouldn't have spoken up, they probably would've just left us. It shouldn't take 3 hours to have a meal. There definitely needs to be more staff employed! They desperately need it! The food was average too. It wasn't anything special. Luckily it does cater for children, I have two, they can get up and play without annoying anyone. But if they didn't have that set out for the kids I would've left a lot sooner because my children wouldn't have been able to stay sat for over 3 hours. I very much doubt we'll be going back as a family for awhile.
