The Lock Keeper'S Cottage

The Lock-Keeper's Cottage Tea Room and Waterways Heritage Centre is an exciting new venture in Toome. Set in breathtaking surroundings on the famous Toome Canal, we are situated beside an idyllic 2km walk to the mouth of Lough Neagh, alongside the Toome Canal and Lock. Here, you can discover the beautiful flora and fauna in this tranquil location. Our Interpretive Centre, under the banner of "Unlocking the Lough" houses displays on The Transport Hub, Nature & Legends, Trains & Planes, the Lough Shore & Locks, Working Waterways & Fishing and the Geology of Lough Neagh. Our tea room is open 10: 00 to 16: 00 daily, with light refreshments available. A full menu is available upon prior request. In addition, we welcome bookings for meetings, conferences, functions & group activities and further can provide a full menu upon prior request, at any time both within and outside of normal opening hours. Weekend and evening events are a speciality. Wedding photography is encouraged in our stunning setting. Come and visit where the worldwide phenomenon "Games of Thrones" was partly filmed and have your photograph taken where Tyrion Lannister travelled through! ! ! We can comfortably cater for groups up to 40.
