A very brave lady!

We just can’t believe that we are writing this twice in a week but our deepest sympathies this evening go to the partner, family, friends and team of James Cowton who died tonight after an accident at the Southern 100 on the Isle of Man. That’s two North West 200 winners lost in the same week. 😔 We also send all of our best wishes to Ivan Lintin who is in a critical condition after the same crash.

Everyone associated with the Vauxhall International North West 200 is absolutely devastated to learn of the death of William Dunlop in an incident today at the Skerries 100. Our most sincere sympathies are with his partner Jeanine, his daughter, brothers, mother and extended family.

Thank you all! You make it happen.

It’s first race day at the Isle of Man TT and all of us at the North West 200 would like to wish the organisers, racers and everyone involved a safe and successful race week.

User

All of us involved with the International North West 200 are shocked and saddened to hear of the death of Manx Rider Dan Kneen during practice at the Isle of Man TT tonight. Dan was a firm favourite on the North Coast and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with his partner Leanne, his family, team and friends.

This is an event not to be missed , not only for motorcycle enthusiasts, but for the whole family. It is a full week of events in both Portrush and Portstewart to entertain both young and old.

The main attraction is of course the racing around an amazing road circuit. Tuesday we have timed practice, Thursday , practice in the morning and racing in the evening, and on Saturday a programme of racing all day. Every day offers speed, excitement, and a chance to watch the best racers in the world do what they do best. A fabulous spectacle and one you'll want to come back to , again, and again.

The north coast also offers, wonderful scenery, hospitality, and a buzzing social scene. So what's not to like. Come along you won't be disappointed.

User

User

First time attending this year and I’m planning on making it a yearly occasion. Amazing event with some cracking races. The whole week was made even better by some of the nicest locals you could meet. If you haven’t experienced the NW200 before, put it on your bucket list.

User

Days like today make my job so worth while... a patient of mine received a video message made up of NW200 riders wishing him a speedy recovery. Their words of encouragement will forever be remembered and appreciated... thank you so much you made him very happy.

User

Best road race in the world bar none. Been coming here for years and have watched it grow into this International event. Biggest outdoor event in the whole of Ireland, 100k plus people. If you haven’t been stick it on the bucket list you will not regret it. The locals, the scenery and the great craic make it an enjoyable week.

User

Been going to the Nw200 since 1976 /77 first year I was there Dave Taylor the stunt man went around the circuit I love the buzz wouldn't miss it I really enjoy it the people the Craic atmosphere is electric best place to be

User

As frequent Road Race fans we’ve been coming to the NW200 for many years but have to say yesterday was one of the best years to date. The weather definitely helped as the racing was fantastic and mostly incident free. Thursday night racing was also fantastic. Congratulations to all involved as the events run throughout the week showcased the North Coast for the beautiful place it is.

User

Amazing weather, organisation and racing! Helpful and friendly marshalls. Special thanks to the lovely lady working the week in Camping Area D - she was wonderful

User

This is an event I love attending, there is always a great atmosphere and the weather tonight is perfect, I understand that the event relies on a lot of sponsorship and the sponsors need to have advertising round the course, however tonight we actually left after a couple of races, the reason being there is so much advertising it was virtually impossible to get a view of the race, we spent the night looking at the back of the canvas adverts with the odd glimpse of a bike, we are now not bothering to attend on Saturday
