The Painted Cupboard

A few pics of the stock we have in the newly rearranged shop at the moment. Some undercoated and ready to paint the way you want and some ready to be snapped up as they are. If something takes your fancy, let us know! (Not the lads...they are taken lol!).

We are open again Wednesday at 10am having shuffled the shop around and shifted the workshop so come in, have a wee brouse and you never know what you might find!

Some before and after pics of commissions we have been working on in the busy run up to the Christmas break. The desk went from drab to fab with new faux leather fitted by Purple Heather. The little Ikea kitchen was customised to our customer's requirements and turned out really well. January commissions book is nearly filled so if you would like to book in, do let us know.

Another of this week's commissions ready for home. Our customer chose "French Linen" with an oak finish to the exposed wood. We love the way mexican pine updates with paint! #thepaintedcupboarddromore #buylocal #Dromore #upcycle

Just finished and into the shop....Industrial style old school stools finished with a dark stain and waxed up to show the aged metal.

I really enjoyed putting the finishing touches to this little heart side table and pretty little display chair. Table has been finished in the ever popular blue scandi style with heart linework and the chair with a pretty floral pad with white distress on the pale green frame. They are ready for Andrew to bring to the shop but if you would like to purchase, just send me a PM. Susan x

Great bookcase painted in "Old White" with slight distressing. So much storage and display space. Nice and Tall. In the shop and ready for sale.

A few of this week's commissions so far. We added the pediment to the back of this desk to create a a bespoke look for our client. The dresser is in a classic grey while the bedside is cute with decoupage to finish it off.

One of the things I love about what The Painted Cupboard can do is finding wee gems like this fire surround that had lost it's legs and turning it into something gorgeous. We fixed this one up, gave it a good few coats of chalk paint and then carefully sanded it back so the old wood peeps through. A coat or two of wax and it was ready to come home with me! I've put a "before" pic in and a pic of the other two fire surrounds we have at the shop. Susan x
