The Scented Thread

Unique, freehand embroided textile art designed & produced by Ivy. All mediums used in my creations are locally sourced and locally inspired.

"The Scented Thread" is a story of two life long friends with a common goal. . . "to get crafting ".

"The Thread Bit", Ivy makes all the cushions to her own design, and for every occasion. All made from Irish Linen, tartan wool, organza and hand dyed silk. They can all be commissioned to your own spec, ie a birthdays, from new born to whatever age, animals of every description, houses, farms, whatever floats your boat. She also does iconic tourist scenes, including "the cranes". .
The "Scent Bit", Laurie loves soap but finds most are irritating to her skin. She sources sulfate free bases with glycerine for moisture, consentrating on fair trade ingredients, and makes them all to her own design.
She also includes Bathbombs and fabulous shower butters that are whipped up with sweet almond oil, great for us girls in a hurry and mild enough for facial washes.
A new project "Blokes Stuff" from shaving soap to beard balm is work in progress.
