Welcome to my page, I provide a sewing service including dressmaking, clothing alterations and repairs, costume making and curtain making by appointment.
The Stitch Witch Dressmaker Description
Situated in the historic Cathedral Quarter in Belfast City, The Stitch Witch NI is at the heart of the local art and design community.
Lead seamstress and dressmaker Sandra Celik has over 30 years experience in textile arts including dress-making, costume design and fabric crafts including quilting, embroidery, beading, soft toy design and much more.
Up until 2010 Sandra’s work was accessed only through recommendation, word of mouth and by special request, however, now that she has a Belfast city workshop customers can attend her premises at 29 Donegall Street for a specialised one-to-one consultation.
With a wide range of garment patterns available to view on site, Sandra can guide you confidently through the dress making process with ease.
Specialising in high quality bespoke and custom-made garments for all occasions we can work with you to produce a unique piece of clothing from formal, evening and wedding apparel to day, casual and work wear.
Whether you want traditional, classic, understated or high fashion, detailed, corseted or OTT Sandra can work with you to achieve the design you desire.
The Stitch Witch NI can make complete garments or embellish ready made items to your requirements.
From the most basic children's leotards and tutus to the heavily sequined and rhinestone encrusted professional dancers costumes no job is too big or too small for us.
As well as our bespoke service The Stitch Witch NI offer a specialised service dedicated to costuming, theatre and performance wear including everything from belly dance costumes to medieval themed garments.
Having spent time travelling Turkey procuring materials and researching the art of Belly Dance Costuming Sandra is a well known maker of heavily sequined and beaded dance costumes and her attention to detail can ensure your costume - whether for performance, theatre or casual party - is authentic yet unique.
We also provide a high quality alteration service which is speedy and competitively priced.

A 50% deposit on the total amount including cost of materials is required before work on a project can begin with the balance due on collection of the items.

Update on the move from Donegal Street. I found out today that I have two weeks to move to the new premises in Lombard Street. I am working flat out to get all current projects finished this week. I will then be spending time cleaning, decorating and moving to the new premises. It won't be possible to take on any urgent work at all for a few weeks. I can arrange appointments for after 11 June 2018. I will update this if I manage to get organised before the 11. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I have to move from my room in Donegall Street in the near future. I will finish all my current projects before moving. It looks like I will be moving to Lombard Street, just around the corner. It will be on the third floor and as there is no lift I'd like to remind people that I will do home visits within a 5 mile radius for people who cannot do stairs. More details to follow.

At last I have my own label to sew on the unique pieces I make. It's going to be a cold winter but I'm working on a collection of pure wool, tweed capes with faux fur trimmed hoods. Photos to follow.

For sale Goth style skull corset and spider web skirt. The corset is made from tie bleached black denim with skull applique. Great for Halloween, proping up the bar drinking Snakebites, hanging round City Hall or shopping in your local supermarket.
The one and only Anna costume I will ever make. There are over 200 appliques on the skirt and another hundred or so on the cape.
