Went last night for out 1st time to the yellow heifer. Cocktails and Food was superb The steaks were unreal and staff very friendly and great craic at the Bar. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back !!

We had lunch today. The warm broccoli salad is simply delicious. Would highly recommend! The service was great and the waitress went as far as to serve unicorn food for my 4 year olds unicorn �. Top marks all round

Just came across this place last night, lovely traditional pub and the steaks are unreal cooked to perfection and even better a very good gluten free menu, thank you for your amazing hospitality will definitely be back soon.

I have to say was here last night for a meal it’s not my first and most certainly not my last , we had staters mains and dessert the food was first class, I had steak for mains and it just melted in my mouth it was that good. The service was also top class we were well looked after and the atmosphere was just lovely we stayed on to have a few drinks thanks very much folks for a great night.xx

I fell in love - the food was absolutely delicious, the waitresses and chefs were amazing, friendly and too helpful, to three corporate employees. The price was definitely reasonable. I was so impressed that I slept through the whole night last night, tummy filled and relaxed. I'm coming back every week that I'm working I n Newry!

First visit today and certainly not the last. Probably the best gluten free menu I've ever came across with great variety and tasted amazing. My other half is a steak man and said it was one of the best he's had (he wouldn't share�) Staff were polite, attentive despite a very busy restaurant and really well informed on allergens.

Fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere, from beef cheeks to a wine and port board, the Yellow Heifer ticked all the boxes.

Excellent food and service... Top rate food and our waitress, Emma, made our visit that bit more special... Will be back...

Celebrated graduation dinner in Yellow Heifer with family. Mary looked after us all so well and made the evening special for everyone. Food was superb, top class service and very relaxed atmosphere. �����

Big thank you to all the staff Sunday 5th for our daughters christening x we all had a great day , the food was fabulous and staff made our group feel very welcome and would highly recommend yourselves again. We had a group of 17 and I couldn't fault any part of the day . Thank you all x

Best meal I every had .had forkhill black pudding for starter pir pir for main and trio of port for desert.would recommend to all

A long awaited date night with my wife, we were eagerly awaiting the feast. The starters were gorgeous, the pil pil prawns were especially sumptuous. Two fillet steaks cooked to our specification, accompanied with excellent sides, we were really enjoying the experience. My wife passed on dessert, I managed the apple crumble, it was a fitting finale to a beautiful meal. Admittedly a Californian white, & the Chillian Red helped, but I recommend this establishment to everyone, the bonus was the excellent service, young & enthusiastic, but excellent, I am planning my next visit already

Booked table here for 5 adults and 1 child aged 18 months for 5.30 to suit child. Explained it was for two birthdays. We waited 50 minutes a long time to amuse a child. We had our dinner served before child which didn't help. We asked for and received one scoop potato and a spoon of vegetables for child. On checking bill I noted we were charged £6 for this. We never got sauce with steak sandwich, we requested pepper sauce and were charged £2.50 for each little pot. The food was average, the price ridiculous and the wait unacceptable. I spoke with Paul Quinn the owner on phone, I believe a problem isn't a problem if corrected properly and gave him the opportunity to resolve these issues. He agreed with my complaints. Paul a voucher for a coffee would have resolved the issues, more disappointed than ever. So feel justified in writing this review

A few years since we've been but food was still very good but service was nearly non existent and slow, our starter came out and was beautiful so we had high hopes for rest of the three course Sunday dinner, although waited 45 mins for our second course from starters and only came when asked about long wait and mixed up our orders. The young girl who took our order at the start was meant to wait on our table (only saw her again when bill was brought to table) but had other staff in the end serving ourselves. We had an apology at end of meal saying by the young girl that they were busy but we were one of the first ones in for service at half twelve while other customers (locals) def had preferential treatment, very frustrating as food was delicious but two hours for a Sunday lunch, to long!! Especially while trying to entertain a two year old. The long wait did mean we had to alter our afternoon plans.



Many positives for the visit but the poor service has a lasting memory.
