Tinderbox is not-for-profit charitable theatre company based in Belfast. Formed in 1988, it is one of Northern Ireland’s longest established and most respected independent theatre companies. Tinderbox produces world class theatre, provides opportunities for writers and theatre makers to develop their idea’s and places participation and community outreach as central components of the artistic programme. We are all aware of the massive impact the arts can have on our society in terms of heritage, culture and tourism but what Tinderbox find significantly more important is the power the arts can achieve in terms of confidence, health and well-being for individuals.
