We have been coming here for years now, food is always top class, portions are huge and service always comes with a smile. Really looking forward to the facelift and new menu soon but we heard u may be getting rid of the BYO, that may not be a good idea. That's one of the reasons we keep returning.

Tom's......you did NOT disappoint!!



First class service, fabulous new look and incredible food (breadcrumb chicken AKA chicken tenby for all you fans)!

The changes that have been made are well worth it.... Loved the new decor, the nice bright uniforms, the smiley staff, the food and the atmosphere was great!! Def worth a visit. �

Not usually one to put reviews on but after the meals my husband and I had yesterday we feel we have to.

Called in at lunchtime and we both ordered the lasagne with chips and onion rings. Both of us have never tasted anything like it, absolutely delicious. Definitely the tastiest we have ever had. Loved it so much that we actually went back the same evening for the ribs and steak deal.

Also delicious!!

Think we have found our new favourite place to eat. Prepared to travel from Belfast to it, no where touches this place. Service was also exceptional

My partner and I had a great night at Tom's, lovely food with a decent veggie/vegan selection from starters through to dessert. The service was great and I'd certainly recommend and visit again.

Love love love that you actually make an effort to provide vegetarians with proper options! One of your Bangor competitors thinks that macaroni cheese is an acceptable vegetarian main course!!! On top of that you have friendly staff and great service! Will definitely be back �

I've always been a fan of 'Papa Joe's' and have since got my other half onto it since he moved to Bangor. A favourite of mine for a wee lunch date with my mum, the santa fé sauce is just everything � Now that the place has been rejuvenated and revived into 'Tom's' I must say, the food was delicious! The goujons are amazing and that peanut dip!! Absolutely beautiful. Not to mention the decor is beautiful too. Well done guys! �

I tried Tom's tonight for the first time since it reopened and was so impressed, i had to leave a review. The early bird menu was fantastic. I enjoyed a beautiful squid starter( huge portion)...but the piece de resistance was the flat iron steak. Wow...just wow!! So tender, melt in the mouth with the usual tasty pepper sauce. Another family member ordered the same steak and agreed that it was just wonderful-we were surprised it was part of the early bird deal. The decor is fresh and light and the staff, as always were very friendly. A wonderful night out, we will most definitely be back.

I love this place. I like to try different things but decided on steak and chips last night. It was a beautiful steak with crispy onions.

Dessert was the lemon brulee......real lemon taste and just enough crunch on top.

The table beside us was a bit close for my liking, but the staff couldn't do enough to help, without being intrusive, and there was a good Buzz about the place.

Had lunch in the newly refurbished Tom's Dining Rooms today. Food and floor staff were amazing! A really lovely relaxed atmosphere with super friendly staff!

I had chicken goujons with a peanut dipping sauce ( old Du-bois sauce) and chunky garlic chips. My lunch date had ribs and garlic chips. We were totally impressed really fresh hot tasty food!!

A totally delightful lunch time experience. Thanks Tom's will definitely be back !

Had a spot of lunch with the Mrs. Was sceptical as it's all new Name/decor but food was amazing and waiting staff very friendly and attentive.

Great 1st visit to Tom’s. Smashing look, especially the bar area. Top menu with some old favourites and new stuff to tempt. Will be back very soon!!

Went yesterday with my 3 children for lunch....was put at a table bang in the middle of everyone and felt like I'd gatecrashed a work do, couldn't have a conversation without the tables next to us listening to everything :/ food was absolutely beautiful, the staff were lovely and friendly but it took WAY too long to arrive and we were left sitting for almost half an hour after our meal before we had to ask to see a dessert menu! Very disappointing as food was so nice! Not sure wether we would go back again or not.

Was on a day out with wife daughter and grandson , stayed long enough to want a bite to eat, looked on the web and came across papas joe's seemed good with 4 stars , alas that's where it goes wrong, placed by a table with waiters and waitresses squishing buy, order took a long time to arrive , hard to keep two young kids amused waiting on food, adult meals arrived first , I'd ordered a cheeseburger with fries got it with chips, very plain no sauce , wife ordered haddock , looked good but no taste to it , now kids meals , grandson ordered chicken nuggets and chips, never seen nuggets like them, child didn't like them, my daughter ordered pepperoni pizza with chips, pizza looked like one you buy outta Tesco for 29p she ate it but only outta hunger , then upon leaving I needed to go to the loo was directed up stairs to the loo, walked into the loo to be greeted what I can only describe as a log floating in the toilet with a bit of a smell of it, so I'm sori I can't recommend this place, been the worse place I've had a bite to eat in a very long time

Ordered sea bass off the lunch menu @ £13.95 said it came with baby potatoes and mange tout. Tiniest amount of food arrived with 2 small baby boils quatered;5 mange tout under a handful of prawns and a skimpy piece of se bass! When I asked the waiter is that it where is the potatoes or side he said thats it. Not good enough ended up eating my friends chips. Paying £14 for lunch and being hungry is not on. I really was expecting more. I also said to another waiter it was skimpy and he said thanks for feed back. I was expecting my coffee to at least be taken off the bill but no. I got a dessert which was fine but to pay the guts of £23+ in total for lunch and go away disappointed and hungry just isn' good enough. You could and SHOULD do better ver disappointed!!!

I was there last night with 9 other woman the food was nice can not fault the food took abit of time to get the food tho and at the end they give us 2 vochers to use we asked could we get one or two more as there was 10 of us but the manger was so rude even the table beside us said not away to speak to people i will deffo not be back or be spoking to in that way either to make people feel so low the other woman where gobsmacked how the manger spoke would never go back

Food was average.. service was abmismal waiting 25 mins between (lukewarm) starter and main course and 45 mins between main course and dessert. Ended up going down to the bar for our own drinks as the staff appeared to 'forget' our wine. I appreciate its Christmas and there is extra pressure on staff but to wait that amount of time between courses in my opinion was unacceptable. I wont be rushing back

Will not be back after cheeky waitress!! Do not go if you have young kids wanting to put their coat and shoes in our case on after their dinner. The attitude and the way she spoke to us was disgraceful. Bit of patience when a 3 and 4 year old are trying to put their coats on doesn't cost much. Very very disappointed

Service was awful. Food was well over priced for what we actually got. To be honest the whole experience was a let down. Cannot say we will be back or recommending to anyone else. Shame really, because Papa Joe's would have been my first choice for taking family or friends for lunch/dinner.
