We evolved from one of Ireland's first on site mobile sawmilling business. Set up in 1992 by David Smyth, a former forest manager for the N Ireland Forest Service, the business seen an opportunity in traditional timber framing. The skills necessary have been honed over the years and we now offer a variety of products - roof trusses in oak, Douglas fir or larch. These can be supplied with structural calculations and drawings for building control if necessary. We have built a range of outbuildings - seldom are two the same - in both oak and DF as well as porches, lych gates, pergolas etc. With contacts in Ireland and France we can source oak and Douglas fir beams - green and air dried - in a variety of lengths and sizes. Mobile sawmilling is still very much a part of the business as is forest mensuration - this involves production surveys etc for both the Forest Service in N Ireland and the Forestry Commission in Scotland.
