About Turnip House
Our Tea room is situated in the Mournes Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with stunning views over the landscape. We offer a selection of home made soups, bread and cakes. We make hand crafted knitwear and felt products. Visitors are welcome to see the making process, buy from our range of goods in stock, or commission a special piece. We are in the process of restoring the gardens around Turnip House, and converting the land into native woodland, vegetable and fruit gardens. Visitors are welcome to stroll around and watch the developments. September to June, we are open every Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 5pm, or by appointment. We are open 7 days a week in July and August 11am to 5pm. We are only 1 hour from Belfast or 2 from Dublin, situated in the heart of the Mournes AONB.
