Urban Soul Cafe, Belfast Description
Urban Soul is the outreach arm of May Street Presbyterian Church in the heart of Belfast city centre.
The not-for-profit cafe is housed in the basement of the church, in a former meeting room and store. There is a special atmosphere about Urban Soul and we provide refreshment for both body and soul. The cafe is only a few steps away from the busy city centre, but it is a tranquil oasis where people can recharge their batteries.
We are available for outside groups to use during the evenings, with a capacity of 60. We can provide refreshments tailor-made to meet your requirements, whether it is a light snack or a three-course dinner. Why not combine a meal at Urban Soul with the next visit to Belfast city centre by your group? Or why not use Urban Soul as a venue for the next meeting of your club or society.
There is a bus stop right at the door and we are located close to the City Hall, so it’s convenient for everyone.
Currently, we depend heavily on volunteers and donations as well as dedicated staff. We are presently assisted with funding from a variety of individuals and organisations. Any surplus will directly support the cafe’s outreach activities.
To move confidently into the future, Urban Soul needs 100 friends making regular donations. Please speak to Avril Gracey, the cafe manager, if you would like more details about becoming a Friend of Urban Soul.

Free Urban Soul LIVE (Event Run in Conjunction with Belfast City Management
Urban Soul LIVE will be held on 8th March at 20:00 in Urban Soul Cafe (May Street). The Urban Soul LIVE events are alcohol-free and aimed at young people.

Pleased to announce that Urban Soul will be running 'Urban Soul Live', every month with live Christian acts and bands peforming at Urban Soul Cafe. The following dates have been confirmed:
2nd Mar 6th April 4th May... 1st June 7th Sept 5th Oct 2nd Nov 7th Dec
Acts to be announced nearer the time of each event. Start time is 8pm and there is a £5 donation per person.
