just ordered my 2017 escarpe vrx. with an extra 10% discount through CRC it's almost impossible to find a bike as well spec'd for the price.

User

got a vittesse evo team2015. like a rocket ! looking forward to a di2 version?

User

Just received my 2017 vitus sentier vrs what a bike the specification for the price is fantastic. The bike looks amazing and arrived from chain reaction cycles setup perfectly. If you are looking for a hardtail around the £1000 mark you will struggle to get a better bike

User

Just bought a vitus escarpe 1. Amazing value for money and very capable bike that feels well built with excellent spec really great all roung package.

User

Just bought a 2015 Venon - amazing - it eats hills! Am delighted with it - I feel like I've been cycling on a tank up until now!!

User

I’ve got two them. A 2017 Sentier and a 2018 Sommet VR. After nearly 30yrs of riding and racing bikes (over 50 I reckon) the sommet, I’m in love with. I’ve had a great time on it. The hardtail just as much ! The clutch rear mech failed last week, I sent a photo, and a few days later had a new one. Like every bike, they need setting up properly to get the best of them, but once you do.. mega value, really well designed and decent quality.

User

I ride a Sommet. Only 3 words needed 'best bike ever'

User

I bought a VITUS 2015 Venon VR in March of this year. Fast delivery and excellent customer service from CRC (5 Stars)

The bike was delivered undamaged and packaging was good.

This bike represents excellent value and is very comfortable and smooth to ride.

User

Had my 2014 Escarpe VR for a year now. Love it!! Taken everything I've thrown at it. Me and my petite 22 stone hairy assed frame!! Lol

User

Got an 2017 sommet and it is a superb bike that won't break your budget for it's worth it.

User

Been an Escarpe owner for about 2 weeks. So far I felt much more confident hitting trails than on my previous machine and the solid bike and excellent components have kept me planted on the trail when my skill might have let me down.

User

Received my Vitus Sentier VRS 2016 a few days back from CRC and here is my take:

1) Amazing finish, good specs, great underrated fork. Fixed the bars and wheelset and all good to go. Took it for ride on the trails. Slightly on the heavy side mainly due to the tyres. Took some effort to climb but still acceptable. This bike is a beast on downhill sections. Superb control and handling due to the slack tube angle. Rolling over obstacles are effortless. I would give this bike 4 out of 5.

2) The only thing i'm unhappy about is how this bike was setup. My wheelset aren't true, the cassette was overly tightened to the extend that i broke my chainwhip. Went over to my friend's place and we tried but still no luck. Shifting was terrible. Still not perfect and still trying to fix the problem. Chainrings on the crank was extremely tight as well. Had to visit a LBS to get it fixed. I would give 2 out of 5 for how this bike was improperly setup.

Lastly, the customer service was excellent. Second to none. They will be refunding the repair costs incurred and even arranged for a replacement chain whip. Excellent recovery as always. I would give it 5 out of 5.

Overall, i would say that Vitus took alot of effort to create a true trailworthy bike. I would have been delighted if not for the hiccups. Bike is great, service is beyond amazing. They really need to buck up on the setup of my bike though. Service and mechanics aside, i would highly recommend this bike.

User

If you have a problem, if no one else can help – and if you can find him – maybe you can hire a Chris. Top bloke, problem sorted, back on the hills, happy days!

User

Got my Vitus sentier a week ago. Mainly commuted to work on it, got it must through the fields today, can’t wait to eat it on some proper trails. Great bike especially for the cost. But I would much rather have paid an extra £10 to have a bit more padding in the seat. Keep up the good work Vitus, but can we have some work on the seat next time.

User

Got a vitus vr 275 could ask for anything better a price of a hardtail and then they put a full SLX groupset only tires lets it down thats only a small grip.would recommend to anyone

User

Don't buy I'd say. Got a Energie VR bike. On the paper is awesome. But assembly and parts were terrible. Wrong stem came. But worst, hydraulic brakes came leaking, at levers and calipers! Both levers came with reservoir bolts with clear sign of bad craftsmanship, almost rounding heads. Sent them back (all through Chain Reaction) and got the same parts back, and no fluid to top. Well, they are still leaking. It would be a great bike if they knew how to assemble.

User

Where to begin with the problems with buying a bike from chain reaction? The Vitus mountain bike I purchased was missing hardware and the tech support can't even send me the right replacement parts. Looks like I'll end up going to a machine shop just to get a seat collar to fit on this bike. Unless you live nearby this bicycle retailer I would avoid them like the plague.

User

Just bought a new dominer 2 months ago and the frame creased and they are saying it’s not covered on warranty, bunch of c***s!!!

User

In a nutshell, the worst support that I’ve ever received from buying a bicycle.

Bought the Vitus Chrono 2 TT back in 2016 from CRC.

It was a complete nightmare for any bike owner

1. There was no bike manual!!! How could you manufacture a carbon bike & not have a manual to even show what are the torque limits for the frameset?

2. Frameset was shipped with faulty TRP brakes that took a month to replace

3. Shims were missing from headset, causing wobbly headset

4. Arm rest spacer for the aero bars were machined out of tolerance!!! Could not even stack them.....

5. Carbon stem that cracked over time due to poor quality

6. No spares for locknut in the head tube....

7. Poor finishing quality, paint work is bubbling

I believe I had more issues with the frame set but there is just too many to list down.

I believe it took me a good 4-6 months before I could resolve all the issues & have the bike actually rideable.

4-6 months for a brand new frameset to be rideable. This is completely unacceptable!

Support from CRC was pathetic, slow & lack of customer support interest.

Emails to Vitus have gone un-answered

This is the worst bike I’ve every bought in terms of customer support. Seems there is a lack of interest on product support from CRC & Vitus altogether.

I would not advise anyone to procure a bicycle from Vitus due to the non existent or “I just could not give a damn” sort of support you can expect from Vitus

Till date, I believe it has been more than a year, I’m still awaiting spares from CRC for the lock nut in the head tube, which I believe has already been conveniently forgotten

I cannot wait to receive the spares, so that I can sell it away for good riddance
