Festa de Sta Brígida
No dia 1 de Fevereiro um Sábado, dia de Sta. Brígida da Irlanda, realizámos a sua festa litúrgica na nossa paróquia que a acolhe desde 1284, isto é há 736 anos. Nessa missa vespertina, tivemos como habitualmente os jovens da Catequese e os Escuteiros, os seus pais e demais paroquianos. A abrilhantar a liturgia tivemos connosco o St. Mary’ Colleges Singers Dulin’s, cantaram. Com elevado sentido religioso artístico as partes fixas da missa. Provavelmente e...ste seu desempenho muito contribuiu, para a excelente compostura dos nossos catequizados que foi motivo de nota do próprio Secretário da Embaixada da Irlanda, os Catequistas e Chefes podem estar orgulho-sos dos seus jovens. Estamos todos… No final foi servido ao Coro e acompanhantes um beberete, em sinal de reconhecimento que aqui deixamos explicito ao Secretário da embaixada Tom Redmond e à Dr.ª Cristina Galvão que sempre nos facilitou o contacto com a embaixada da Irlanda e a programação logística deste evento.

With the upcoming of Saint Brigid's Day here is the remarkable tale of how her skull made it from Lecale to Lumiar!
It goes right back to 1266 when the Knights Templar were based at Dundrum Castle. Three knights went out to Portugal and presented the relic to the king.
