Looking forward to those perfectly still days in Autumn & last year gave us plenty in Sept/Oct
We still have some berths available for boats in the harbour! big or small, for a month or a year... come & try it out or have a look around! You'll have 24hr access to the place and facilities.

Cherishing summer evenings with an abundance of Mackerel Whiteharbour Whitehead!

Have you ever wandered what these big pieces of wood are passing on the train.... old railway sleepers?
They are in fact the ribs of very old sail boat named ' Annie' that sank in the harbour. The remains sat static and somewhat preserved by the the silt, they were found by Wesley Murdock when dredging the harbour in 1989.
The boat was built and held together with Oak Dowels, no bolts, no nails. The black and white photo shows the remnants place before excavation

We had some lovely weather at the start of this week, heavy north winds elsewhere but the harbour was flat calm sheltered by the headland!

ANOTHER OPEN DAY! (Monday 30th May) 11am - 7pm
We will be opening the gates this bank holiday Monday to land bound visits by foot or car, come and have a look!
LOW TIDE 12:30pm - Giving you the chance to see the harbour retain water at the pontoons since recent works.

2 weeks on we'd like to give a massive thanks Martin & Sam for being such good company and choosing such a tasteful/great team to host their outdoor wedding reception with us!
We had beautiful nordic tipis from Magnakata, South African style Catering from Challas Spit Roast South African Style Catering, The Rinkha ice cream and 'Finesse Batending' all stepping up to make something pretty special..
