Windsor Great Park Description

The only Royal Park managed by The Crown Estate comprises 2, 020 hectares (5, 000 acres) of parkland which includes a Deer Park, a varied landscape of formal avenues, gardens, woodland and open grassland. The Long Walk, Copper Horse, Temple Ruins and Totem Pole are iconic features found here. Renowned for its forest and ancient oaks, Windsor Great Park is a popular destination for recreational activity, with close to three million people visiting every year to run, walk or ride. The Savill Garden and Valley Gardens are internationally famous and much-loved gardens located in the south east corner, alongside Virginia Water Lake.
