About Windsor Touch Rugby
The Ninja Elite!
Windsor Touch Rugby Description
Imagine, if you will, the mist clearing and a small group of warriors emerging from the undergrowth, each carrying a look of steely determination and a strange, odd shaped ball…. thus the Ninjas were formed.
Or. . . . . . .
In 2003 a group of like-minded Mini and Youth coaches came together to form Windsor RFC’s newest section – the Windsor Ninjas. The Ninjas is the adult touch rugby section for the club and play one evening a week every week of the year - the only exception being when Christmas Day or New Year’s Day fall on a Ninja-ing evening, in these circumstances matches are played on Christmas Eve ( a charity game for all players from 5 to 75-ish years of age) and New Year’s Day.
In the summer months (May – October) the Ninjas play at Home Park at 7: 30pm – 9: 0pm on a Wednesday evening, in the winter (November – April) we play on a Thursday evening at The Windsor Boys School, from 8: 00pm to 9: 00pm.
Occasionally Ninjas gather together to seek group refreshment.
If you are interested in becoming a Ninja either turn up to play – latest timings at the top of this page – or call Francis Turner for more details. You will need to be over 16 years of age; otherwise all that’s required is the heart of a Ninja.
