Starting in October 2014, four groups from North, South, and West Belfast will meet in their own community centres twice a month to select a program of films, that explore themes from their own cultures and cultures from around the world. The groups are made up of 10 young people (age 12-16) each, and the project will involve 40 young people in total.

The groups will be

Mountcollyer Youth Centre
Indian Community Centre
NICRAS (Northern Ireland Centre for Refugees and Asylum Seekers)
Polish Youth Association NI

The groups discuss themes and issues from the films and also focus on the positive aspects of all the cultures they explore. The groups will also have the opportunity to learn about each other cultures through having supporting workshops of the films they watch, e. g. cooking, dance and spoken word that further support the film.

Once a month one of the groups hosted a screening in their own community centres, of a film they have enjoyed learning about. The evening will include, traditional food, dance and spoken word etc from the country that film is from.
The evening will be an opportunity for the community groups to further learn and meet each other in a positive warm environment.
