Inspired by a conversation with a yoga practitioner earlier... Sporting injuries, vehicle collisions or sudden trauma to the pelvic region can cause SI joint pain or dysfunction. This takes practice and discipline but once people are shown this path and practice it regularly it becomes entrenched in their everyday lives. How they interpret the world, how they interact with others, how they perceive themselves and their perspective. We all want happy, well balanced and ...thoughtful children, teaching children that their happiness comes from within and is not dependent on other people or outside conditions is a part of what I do. Happiness and joy for life begin with gratitude, letβs teach the children that even though they may be experiencing something difficult in their lives that they will get through it by facing it (courage) and there is always something to be grateful for. This Saturday at Yoga for Kids I will be teaching the children this and we will be making a craft to show our gratitude for an aspect of our lives. Our practice will be centred on back bends and heart melting poses, opening into and feeling into the heart centre. It is a nice practice to encourage children to seek out even one thing for which they are grateful for both at the beginning and end of the day.
