12 Hour Photo Marathon

On the 21st May 2011, Visible Fictions Theatre Company asked the people of the North East to tell their story in pictures over a 12 hour period to celebrate the arrival of Clockwork, a theatre show co produced by Visible Fictions and Scottish Opera. The photographic event was called the 12 Hour Photo Marathon and anyone could join in. Events happened throughout the city on the day and the images uploaded were included in an exhibition and short film at The Lemon Tree, Aberdeen, to coincide with Clockwork.

The response was fantastic with over a thousand images uploaded onto this fan page, and it’s still going strong. The participants are now setting their own photography challenges and the page is growing in numbers.

This project was supported by the Barcapel Foundation, The Evening Express, Aberdeen Performing Arts, Arts Development, Union Square, Peacock Visual Arts and Creative Scotland.
