Congratulations to the 118 service personnel recognised in the #NewYearsHonour, many of whom have some truly inspiring achievements and acts of service.
The Regiment is particularly pleased to announce that this year's list includes one of its own: Major Chris Wane, who currently serves as BC 58 (Eyre's) Battery, is privileged to receive a MBE for his work with 7th Infantry Brigade in Army Defence Engagement in West Africa.

When one is unable to spend Christmas with personal families, the wider family of the British Army is a great substitute. 9 (Plassey) Battery send their best wishes from Estonia back to everyone in the UK 🎅🏻🎄 #christmas #thisisbelonging #BritishArmy #christmasjumpers #christmasdinner #findoutwhereyoubelong #NATO #WeAreNATO #comrades #comradeinarms

Merry Christmas one and all, with special Christmas wishes to #Emsworth Community Christmas. @12regtra & @16RegtRA were proud to raise over £300 during our last PT session of 2018! We hope it's been a great day. 🎅🏻

Nordic skiing, Skeleton Bobsled - some awesome winter sports training has been going on over the last few weeks. A well deserved Christmas break before launching into competition season. The Regiment's snowboarding team will be out in January as well.
Lots of sporting opportunity within the Regiment, helping us to keep fit & healthy, mentally sharp, and having fun pushing personal limits ⛷🏂🛷💪🏆

For those of us relaxing and preparing for Christmas festivities, spare a thought (and maybe donate a few pounds) to our RCMO Capt Nick Wright - currently in the middle of the Atlantic, rowing for charity.
Having set off on the 12th of December 2018, the @r3ob2018 team of 4 departed La Gomera facing 3000 + miles of open ocean to Antigua, racing other crews in The World’s Toughest Row.

A fantastic day getting into the spirit of Christmas with a Carole Service together with @16regtra and HQ Jt GBAD 🤶 Some passionate singing from both Regiment's, and captivating renditions by our Fijian soldiers.
All brilliantly supported by the Chichester City Band. Thank you one and all 🤶

Few events incur more emotion than the Officers vs Seniors Christmas football match; so much so that the 2-2 final score was seen as an emphatic win by the Officers! #football #armychristmas #merrychristmasarmy #armyfootball #competitive #armysport #thisisbelonging #findoutwhereyoubelong

Children of Petersfield School have received an NVQ following a 6 week programme learning about the Army. They learnt in depth about the Army Values and Standards and delivered presentations. All learning new skills, they developed their health, fitness, and leadership ability through a variety of things such as command tasks.
After a great 6 weeks, the children were chuffed with their certificates 👩🏼‍🏫 👨‍🎓well done to all the students on their achievement 👩🏻‍🎓👨🏼‍🏫 #learning #development #school #community #communityengagement #children #leadersoftomorrow #army #knowledge #skills #aptitude #knowledgeispower #armyeducation #teamwork #learning #school #schooldays #NVQ

A great couple of days had on Thorney Island 🏝
Yesterday we came together with our Air Defence brethren to celebrate a number of promotions and postings in the GBAD community. 🍾 From our Regiment:
Captain Matt Hine and Captain Jay Oie selected for promotion to Major and attendance on the Intermediate Command and Staff Course.
... Major Ian Battersby posted as Quarter Master to 103RA.
Captain Jase Willoughby acting Major and posted as Quarter Master 12RA.
Captain Neil Johnston posted as Quarter Master (Technical) 12RA, and Captain Kalvin Aylward posted as Quarter Master (Technical) 16RA.
The celebrations into the evening we brushed off with a cheeky, and distinctly wet and muddy, CO's Battle PT.
Have a cracking weekend!
