Happy Birthday to our bike sponsors BikePost they have been running their family business for 3 years working with the residents and local community groups within the Troon area.
Why not drop in over the weekend and wish Mark Fidler and Colin Fidler all the best.
Cubs "Skills Challenge" Sleepover
The younger cubs had a busy weekend developing #SkillsForLife, whilst also having fun at the same time. They did all the usual things like a hiking, archery, games, teamwork exercises and a camp fire.
Also, and we have proof of this, but cubs were also ironing 😮, changing light bulbs, peeling potatoes, making a cups of tea and savoury treats for lunch!
... Thank you to the parents, Young Leaders and the leader team for a great weekend!

A big thanks to the volunteers from Little Life Skills for coming along and teaching our Tuesday Cubs how to help young people & adults in an emergency by developing skills such as CPR, what to do if someone is choking and how to place someone in the recovery position. #lifeskills #nevertooyoungtolearn #badgework ⚠🗣☎🚑
What a night we have had completing more of our International Activity with games from around the world and raising an amazing £105 for comic relief with our dress down night. We are so proud of our scouts for all their effort!

Special thanks to Chris for putting Tuesday night cubs through their paces this evening, showing them how to do challenge exercises correctly & safely. Chris will be coming back to judge “The Plank Challenge” at the end of the month 🏅
From everyone at the 28th, we would like to congratulate Craig & Karen Smith on their wedding today. A Scout 'Guard of Honour' was there to see the newly married couple out of the ceremony!
We wish you all many happy years together!

Tonight, Fullarton Cubs had the challenge of navigating a obstacle course. Once completed, they were then fitted with visual impairment goggles and asked to complete it again. The purpose of this was to get the Cubs thinking (and experiencing) how life might be like for someone with a visual impairment. As you can see, it didn't go as well second time round!
As usual thanks to our Young Leaders for helping setup and run the course!

The Rowallan cubs had a busy night on Tuesday toasting marshmallows. We built some structures using bamboo canes and rubber bands in a pioneering team activity. To finish off the evening the cubs celebrated a birthday with cake and squash.
Last night saw 3 new members invested into Fullarton (Thursday) Cub pack. All making their promise and ready to continue scouting journey. Onwards and upwards.
Welcome to the Fullarton Pack!

On Tuesday night the Rowallan pack welcomed 5 new cubs after they made their promise. It was also a busy night of presentations for our hard-working cub scouts.
Scouts had a blast at Meggernie Outdoor Centre. No Fun in the snow this year, so we had a lovely hike around the estate with new Scouts Invested before heading home!
Big thank you to Judith and Rab!
Leaders are already planning next years visit.

Tonight, Fullarton Cubs ran a split programme with three bases, all of which went towards their Outdoor challenge badge. First Aid - where Cubs were shown how to deal with basic first aid along what to do in an emergency. Pioneering - where Cubs worked as a team on an indoor pioneering project. S'mores making - no explanation required 😁!
Big thanks as usual to the Leaders, Young Leaders and of course our Cubs for a great night!

Troon Decision Day : Update
Thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday and supported our bike project “Biking for young minds” as a result we have been successful in our award which will allow us to purchase more bike for our younger members.
Also thanks to Leader Team who supported the event whilst others were away doing scouting activities.

End of Meggernie Trip & Investitures
Scouts have had a great weekend at Meggernie. Leaders burnt out and any parent help to unload trailers would be appreciated. Just leaving and should be back in Troon about quarter to 5ish.
Come along to Troon Town Hall and help support our brilliant Biking for Young People initiative to help purchase bikes for use by Cubs and Scouts and also available for hire to the wider community 👍👍
Just to let all Meggernie Scout parents know, they all arrived safe and well last night and are ready for a weekend of adventure!
