Wednesday Cubs - Spoiler alert Mums but I promise there will be no hidden glitter surprises falling out of the envelopes.
Wednesday Cubs - Some map symbol bingo tonight, based on Ordnance Survey 1:25000 maps - A fun introduction to map legends. We also awarded some badges to our hard working Cubs.
Wednesday Cubs - Happy World Book Day. If you have not yet gained your Book Reader badge now is the perfect time to start. If you no longer have your form then please ask your leader.
Wednesday Cubs - A pancake feast served up to all by our older Cubs tonight. Meanwhile the rest of the pack practiced their compass points (with great success) using point to point drawings.
Three new Beavers joined the Monday colony tonight!! Yahoo and welcome.
Be Prepared. don't forget - Thursday Scouts are meeting at Rouken Glen Garden Centre tonight at 7.15pm. Pick up from same location at 9pm. Could be chilly so bring gloves and hat as well as torch and sturdy footwear.
Wednesday Cubs - Some circus skills for the Cubs. Juggling, diabolos, unicycling and plate spinning - Lock up your crockery.
Monday Beavers “learning by doing” with plants. They will look after them for the next three months and follow their growth.
Tomorrow, the 22 February we celebrate Founders' Day, the birthday of Robert Baden-Powell (born in 1857), the founder of Scouting, and coincidentally also of his wife Olave Baden-Powell (born in 1889).
I have seen our local primary schools encouraging our members to wear their uniforms, not sure about the high schools.

Don’t worry if you can’t make the Cheltenham Festival this year for your annual flutter on the ponies, the unmissable 28th Scout Group Race Night is on Saturday 16th of March 2019 from 7pm -11:30pm
Forget old worn out movies of bygone American races, this is a high octane, interactive race night where jockeys go head to head in a gripping race of skill and speed. Our ‘ponies’ are made to gallop along the hall by our intrepid jockeys as they wind u...p their tether.
So, put the date in your diary and get together with other parents and friends (Over 18’s only) from your section to help us raise money and support the wide variety of activities that the boys and girls in all sections enjoy throughout the year. Tickets are only £5 (which includes nibbles and a hot snack) and are available to purchase by calling Adam Gibson tel:- 0141 5860072 / 07939434499

Wednesday Cubs - Valentines Day and what lovely things they wrote to their fellow Sixes. Every term we try the "sit in a circle" teamwork thing, every term the same result - a heap on the floor.
