Does anyone know any of these 3 men? Please share.
**UPDATE - they also done the same thing at a shop in Carnoustie at 2pm today so there is probably more businesses been targetted by same people**
At 15:30 today in Brown street they worked together to distract staff members then the one with bald head took our card machine and tried to put through 5 stolen credit cards manually for £249 then left with the laptop.
... They gave false name, address and phone numbers when doing the warranty for laptop.
They knew exactly what they were doing and had done it before from the speed he was typing in the codes while distracting staff by looking like swiping card.
All sounded like had English accents.

Husband gave me a new computer for Christmas and 3000rpm have now configured it for me exactly as I wanted it set up for me to use. As simple as possible as far as I'm concerned!!! They've added things in and taken things off! Cannot praise 3000rpm highly enough for their excellent service. They have helped us out with advice and repairs over the years for both my old and my husband's computer. Hopefully I won't be needing their services for mine for quite some time now though!

For me they are magicians. I came to rpm 3000 with a dead computer, hoping to rescue at least some of the data. In a couple of minutes I had all my files in a nice external driver and my laptop disposed by the shop. Excellent service and well-mannered staff. Thank you!

3000rpm were fabulous. Lovely, lovely guy at the front desk didn't make feel stupid, even tho' I was computerwise, and gave me total confidence in him. Sorted my laptop in five minutes, explained everything, checked my iPad when he was at it, just great. All that only took five minutes and would have been even quicker if I wasn't in hyper gobby mode. Oh, and he refused to take any money

I put my sons console in on the Sunday to be repaired...was told I would receive a txt when it was done which I did...so I called to arrange a delivery...they said it would be delivered the same night between 5 and 8...by the time 8 o'clock arrived I was still waiting on the delivery...so the next morning I emailed them telling them I never received my delivery...they called me back first thing very apologetic...they said there was a mix up and that they could deliver it as soon as...so when it did get delivered the driver even gave us a good discount and couldn't be any nicer with us...I was very pleased with the outcome..so I would highly recommend them..Thank-you

Good contact and commuication while they have the system but the service itself... Laptop has been repaired twice for full price and the original problem is still there. The second time I was in I specifically stated what the problem was, but the repair seems to be to just follow a certain script as opposed to fixing any/other problems that may lie outside of what that achieves. Sure as hell not paying for the same a third time.

User

Terrible. Bought a pre owned laptop from them in May, also paid for 3 months warranty. Total was about £175. Guy in the shop never bothered to tell me that warranty didn't cover power jack faults. Have only used the laptop a handful of times and the last time the pin from the power cable breaks off and gets stuck in the jack. Took it back to the shop today only to be told that the warranty didn't cover this and it would cost me £55 to repair. This would put the total cost of the laptop at £230. I could have bought a new one for that. In the end I sold the piece of crap back to them for £40. Crooks!

Summary (Dundee): You will receive no contact from the company unless you constantly chase them to do so. Even if you do chase them there is no guarantee that they will acknowledge you as on one occasion I called and was told the technician would phone me back in a few minutes. I am still waiting on that call. When I phoned back 8 hours later they even hung up on me at first, which is just ridiculous.

I do not have any issue that they were unable to fix my PS4 as the part that was broken was not replaceable. The main issue I have with the company is all based around the pathetic amount of contact that I received from them. I handed my PS4 in on the 15th of December in the hope that it could be fixed over the xmas and new year university break period (understanding it would unlikely be fixed by xmas). When I handed it in I was shocked to see that the estimated time to fix was 2 days and 6 hours so I was hopeful but not certain it would be fixed in time.

On the 24th after hearing no news on the device I visited the shop because I was in Dundee shopping. I was then told the technician was away and it wouldn't be ready. I still never got an update until an hour or so after when he contacted me (only because i made the effort to contact them). Weeks passed and still no contact apart from when I phoned them! (apart from messages saying the technician was finished for the week). The next contact I received was on the 11th of January nearly a month after originally putting the device in saying they had received the part. I should also mention this was the first unprompted contact I received nearly a month later. A full month after putting in the device they decide that the device is not fixable.

As a student in my final year I was hoping to relax and get some time to play gifts that I received however, with the lack of contact I received and them not telling me that it was likely to take a long time to fix/not be able to fix this was not possible. I didn't want to buy a new one due to thinking they were going to fix it which is what was portrayed in the messages and phone calls. If i had known it would have taken this long I would have bought a new one and actually got to play some of the games which I now have virtually no time to do with the volume of university work.

Seemed nice enough to begin with, fitted me a new phone screen. After 2 weeks it was coming apart and my phone didn't turn on, took it back and they tried to blame me for dropping it (which I admit I did do) and that the phone was irreparable. Unprofessional with opening messages and ignoring them. Taking days/ weeks to even look at it. Took my phone to another shop and have found the cause (fixed within one hour too and this is a busy shop). The phone screen wasn't fitted correctly to begin with and it could be fixed (board level repair - this shop clearly has no experience with). Would've been a cheap fix if it had broken and the screen was fitted properly in the beginning but is now costing me an extra £100 for a new screen and camera on top of this board repair (which again the shop has stated isn't my fault). Wouldn't go near again.

User

Sad to write this as I’ve been a 3000rpm customer for years and never had any problems until now.

Picked my phone up after paying £45 to get the charging port repaired. Got home fifteen minutes later and try to make a phone call to find out the mic is broken. Oh well, these things happen.

That's when the saga began.

Take it back to the shop and tell the manager, who immediately tries to slopey shoulder and insists it didn't happen during the repair, and that it’s somehow my fault as I should've given them the unlock code for the phone so they could’ve tested it before it left (apparently the guy on the desk is supposed to ask for this, he didn’t. Also they were quick enough to get in touch and tell me the repair would cost an extra tenner, but couldn't lift the phone to ask for a code?)

After a heated debate with the manager, which I was surprised at from a customer service point of view, and the application of some common sense, the manager reluctantly agreed to fix the phone.

Promises of phone calls and status updates never materialised. I found myself chasing up on the repair constantly only to be told the technician was still ‘checking the online forums.’ (Something literally anyone with an internet connection can do.)

As I was going on holiday I had to take the broken phone with me (my spare can’t really do e-mails for work and the camera is mince).

When I returned I handed the phone back in and got a text saying a replacement microphone had been ordered and was on the way and I’d get a text when it arrived.

TWO WEEKS and zero contact later I decided I’d had enough and gave them a call. After being told constantly that ‘if you haven’t heard anything then nothing has changed with your repair’ I was informed that the microphone had miraculously arrived that morning and my phone would be ready for collection later that day.

Hours passed and as closing time approached with no updates I decided to call again. I spoke to the technician responsible for my repair who cheerfully told me that the replacement piece had actually arrived five days ago, and he was still in the process of repairing the phone.

Fuming, I phoned back and asked to speak to a manager, who was at a loss to explain why the gent from that morning had told me that the part had only just arrived when clearly it hadn't.

Just a nightmare throughout the whole weeks-long experience, and as a customer I was made to feel like I was hassling them despite receiving barely any updates on the progress of the repair.

And this to a customer who had already paid AND whose phone had been broken.

Eventually I was told my phone could not be replaced and I would be given a refurbished one instead.

I was told they would keep my broken phone, and had to insist on getting my £45 back seeing as I’d paid for a repair on a phone I would never see again.

I got £35, and a £1 off my next repair voucher which went straight in the bin.

Poor attitude to customer service the second there was an issue.

Poor communication (unless it was for more cash.)

Would've been mugged off at the first instance if I hadn't made my case.

Advice from a former loyal customer? Not worth the hassle.

Really disappointed and shocked about service. Asked for a quote for a refurbished screen and battery replacement on my iPhone 6s and I did get a really nice offer that I accepted, all great until now. Dropped my phone off Tuesday I have specifically asked about the time it takes as it is critical and been told it can take up to 3 days, which was the maximum time I could afford without my phone as it is used in development, so I went with it. When I dropped it off I have been told I can try and pop in next day for an update, they might be able to complete it even, at the time the sales chap couldn't tell for certain as he had no access to stock list for parts in the warehouse.... So I came in next day (Wednesday) at 5:45pm and I was told it has been taken over to the other shop in Westport and it seems someone started working on it at quarter to 5 but hasn't finished and they went home at 5 as they closed, just wait for a text it will be ready tomorrow. Been waiting on a the text all Thursday, didn't receive any so I just called thought this may be a mistake I thought online tracking seems broken it is not displaying any status at all. The employee told me he'll look into it and will call me back, he didn't. Friday (the third day when I expected it back) I have been calling and what I heard was an absolute mess, warehouse shop just asked me to call the Westport shop as my phone is there and they don't know anything about it . Upon calling the Westport shop I was told that it seems that the warehouse has my part, or should have it, as deliveries only take 1-2 days so he doesn't know why nobody brought my part over. Been told that the manager will give me a call for an expected delivery. It did not happen, again. For the weekend I really needed the phone, but I gave another chance despite falling short on communication several times, called 11 am Saturday if they are planning on doing it that day, what I heard was that deliveries are yet to come in, I specifically asked that I wish to be informed if my part arrived, and I was promised a call, again. I waited until 3pm, at which point I didn't care if it arrived or not, I was sure the shop won't get Sunday deliveries and my timetable wouldn't allow me to go and collect it next week, I went in to collect my phone without a repair in the end at 3pm after 4 days wasted, guy at the till first said I need to go to the other shop as it is there, I told him this morning when I called I have been told it is here in the warehouse, he went to double check and it was indeed there, would have sent me for a 10-15 minute walk, absolute joke. in an hour I found another shop that did it for me same day, couple hundred meters away for 15 quid less, using a genuine mint quality screen that came off a dead iPhone 6s. To be fair, I have been offered to get a temporary aftermarket screen by 3000rpm (probalby 3rpm these days), but I don't trust these parts, I am a certified apple service technician, been "working with those" (people bringing them in broken all the time crying to apple, they can literally destroy a phone) I saw at least one of those every day while in the trade. I only choose to go to any of these shops as I don't have a proper iPhone opening tool, and without it the phone can end up botched, looking like a car crash, otherwise I could have Ebay-ed the refurbished screen for 40 quid and a battery for 8-7 quid, with NEXT DAY DELIVERY my quote was for 95 quid, I choose to go there expecting fast and professional work for the extra 50 quid I was supposed to pay on to of parts. F_A_I_L

User

I'm sure once laptop is repaired it will work great. But already extremely unsatisfied with the lack of communication. The engineer was supposed to contact me with a list of compatible parts when I handed my laptop back in 4 days ago. He has yet to do so. I called today to ask for an update, was told he would call me back. 5+ hours later I'm still waiting on that call. Can't review the quality of the work yet, but customer service is shocking. If ever recommending to a friend I'll be sure to info them of such.

Took my Xbox one controller in and Bob gladly had a look and told me it was broken. Didn't have my wallet on me at the time he even went and gave me an older controller free of charge to help me out. Great service and an absolute gent, cheers bob

Thank you so much for fixing my son's xbox in less time than we were expecting, paid for priority service got it back in a couple of hours, would definitely recommend, my son will be ecstatic to actually be able to play proper discs again, instead of constantly having to download them (costing us a fortune in the process).

Thank you again.

My mate recommended 3000RPM as i needed my apple macbook pro restored back to factory settings due to selling it. I put in on monday 10th july and it was ready to pick up the day after. Absolutely brilliant - fast service, polite staff.... What more can you ask for?!

Thank you!

Delighted with my service handed in my iPhone for a replacement battery Monday morning and by late afternoon I had a message ready for collection. Battery now lasting 2 days between charges. One happy customer

User

Can't thank these guys enough.. Handed my iPhone 6 plus in after coming in contact with water... Handed in on the Thursday received a call on the Friday night to say all repaired and ready to collect.. Working great again excellent service would highly recommend...

User
