Huge thank you to the Men Shed for the fantastic job they did at restoring the 50th scout sign. Hopefully we will have it up before the next session.

Our Christmas camp, with Christmas dinner on the Sat, and activities, fun and games throughout the weekend. Perfect opportunity for Mum and Dad to get the Christmas shopping done.

Well its been a busy few months since we shifted up a gear at the group. I'm happy to say that the Cub Scout Section is now closed to new joiners as it is now full, as is the Beaver Scout Group which is also now full. (Woo Hoo!)Scout Group have seven spaces, but getting there. How good is that? Not bad since we came from having approximately 9 kids to now having almost 50. Huge well done to the Leaders. We also have new Leaders on board, with David Borthwick and Stewart Mills... taking over the Cub section soon, and Dave Smith joining the Scouting team. If any parent wishes to get more involved, come and have a chat, we need another Beaver Leader.
I can also say that we have the Executive committee working endlessly in the background, and doing a fantastic job with the maintenance, legalities and upgrade of the hut. Thank you ladies for all your effort, time and support.
Just for clarification everyone. When I said coming from approx 9 scouts to the 50 we have now, I should say that the increase began with the excellent foundations put into place by Andrew Donald. The hard work he began is thankfully been carried forward by our excellent leaders. But none of us would be here at all without Andrew. 😊

Parents: The Leaders of the 50th spend their own time, planning and organising activities. To allow your child to participate in those activities the Leaders may need your permission, and as such will require to contact you. The Leaders use the information that you gave us when your child joined to do this, however if you wish to be contacted using a different medium then let us know and we will amend our records. I have instructed the Leaders of every section to attempt to... contact parents twice only. If you do not reply to the Leaders contact attempts then your child may miss out on badges, activities or trips. We obviously do not want any child to miss out, so please make every effort to get in touch if require. I would recommend that if you are unhappy about our method of contact, then you could pop into the hall 10min before you normally drop your kids off, and let the Leaders know an alternative.
Many thanks
Paul Hay (Group Scout Leader)
