What can i say really friendly place to stay, great food and very comfortable rooms has everything you need , we arrived late due to our flights, our keys were there waiting Thankyou so much everyone, be back soon .

User

Stayed for 3 nights, dined for 2. Arrived on their first night open after refurb and wow what a place,,, rooms are comfortable few minor things need doing in the rooms , food is amazing from breakfast to dinner, served quick and hot, staff very friendly and helpful and Paula couldn't do enough for us on our first night ,thx for going for an iron board lol. Highly recommended stay in Paisley . One slight word of warning to anyone staying. Music from the pub can be heard in the rooms so bear that in mind. Even louder when a dj Is appearing there ,, many thanks for your hospitality

Me and my wife tina love the Abbey I had my retirement in there on Friday was a great night with a live band playing that went down a storm .the staff are very friendly and helpful.the meals are very good and very reasonable with good size porsions and the alcohol not bad either

User

Just stayed at the Abbey Inn for two nights. The rooms were clean, tidy and had everything you needed. Every member of staff we spoke to was lovely and helpful. Initially, I was booked in for the incorrect nights but they instantly rectified this problem and swapped them over. We had 20 month old twins with us and they had to go back out and buy another cot as they only had one initially but again, this wasn't an issue for them. They even prepared tables with high chairs for when we arrived at breakfast. It's this little attention to detail that makes your service excellent. I'd definitely stay again.

User

I hat a place! Started with me calling to book and the guy giving me discount. The staff are outstanding. Total attention to detail, including a staff member taking us to our rooms and sorting us taxis. The rooms are basic but very clean and the beds really comfortable. The breakfast was awesome. So B&B for £30 each. I've almost paid that much for a breakfast alone!! Even with a taxi into Glasgow (£15) it works out cheaper than staying in city centre.

Had a lovely meal today for my kids birthday , even though the bar was busy the 2 girls on duty were excellent nothing was too much trouble for them

Special mention to the chef as he had to put up with my sons requests as he has a severe nut and egg allergy

Defo be back.

User

Great day spent in new beer garden. Once again staff were brilliant. Pub very busy for food but never had to wait long for a drink. Great family atmosphere. Highly recommended.

User

We where in the abbey on a Sunday last year and after ordering my dinner (steak pie) i was surprised when i got my dinner it was a reheated meal which I complained about only to find out the chef walked out that day..we decided to give another try on Sunday what a difference the food was great and we took part in the quiz..what a better place the abbey inn is after the refurbishment..well done to.all concerned 🖒🖒

User

I stopped and ate there last night nice hotel and food was nice at a good price but I just think they could have done with another member of staff

User

Refurb is great but food is average. Certainly not the quality it was. Microwave reheat and deep fried. We sent back frozen food which was replaced with alternative but no quality as pub food either - poor which is a shame as it’s a nice place

User

Place is nicely done following the recent refurbishment with the TVs in each of the seated booths being a good move. Plenty of options in relation to drinks however the food being served is pretty poor. Ordered the steak pie, mash and peas which arrived with the exposed meat on either side of the pie portion being over cooked and very dark. Shortcrust pastry was very hard which proved difficult to even cut. Gravy that accompanied the meal was far too thin with no consistency. My son ordered the Sunday roast (beef) with the meat found to be quite dry. Scored this as fair on the basis that the nice pint of San Miguel and bottle of house wine made up for the poor meal.

User

Went for a meal last night for my sister's birthday. Place looks great since the refurb but food seems to of taken a nose dive as been in many times before the refurb. Ordered drinks and starters which was sharing platters. When we then orders mains they advised no steaks were available. Bar staff did say they should have told us when we came in. Would've left and went elsewhere but had started on the platters. Ordered gammon steak and chips and when delivered to the table we all said the chips were overdone reheats which the server said yeah he agreed right away. (So why serve them in the 1st place) ? We were issued fresh chips but meal was nearly finished at that point so felt let down. Never had any issues before tonight so will try again in a few weeks and hopefully have a better night.

User

Sorry to have to say food wasn't very good at all. Really disappointing as its near enough from us that we were wanting somewhere we could walk to once a week

User

Service was average, staff friendly enough. Can’t complain about the starters but the main courses where disgusting. We ordered 3 of the small starter selection which where ok. We ordered Cumberland sausage with mash with extra sausage.it cane out with links that looked as if they got skuf d open and chucked in the fryers they where disgusting and solid the knife couldn’t go thru. Beef and ale pie was a slice of dry crap also looked like it had been microwaved as the peas where dry and disgusting. The staff have obviously been told not to deduct anything of the bill but to just apologies and offer an alternative.sorry if two meals come out and both disgusting who in their right mind would order another. First and last I think they are past getting it right so no doubt they will get more ppl who won’t return than will. Give this place a wide berth

User

First time for breakfast here not to impressed had better in Morrisons cafe

User

First time back after refurbishment. Was intending to have food but was so busy didn't bother.ended up having a few drinks at bar.did notice though that even though there was loads of staff on they all seem to concentrate on food area so if you are only in for a drink be prepared for a wait.staff are friendly enough..

User

Shouldn't even be a 1 star review! Booked the function area of the Abbey Inn for a birthday party weeks ago, paid my deposit. Then 3 days before the event I was sent a Facebook message to say the manager had given the function out to another party who had booked on that day because they had more people therefore they were more of a priority - 3 days before!! Invites had already went out, decorations bought, cake bought. I had to try and find another venue on such short notice. Didn't even receive the courtesy of a call from the manager to explain and had to go back in to ask for my deposit back as it wasn't offered to me! An absolutely disgusting way to treat customers. Your short term gain will now only be a long term failing as we will be telling everyone of how you treat customers. Disgraceful!!

Shocking tonight.... over 1hr and 30mins with kids waiting on main course... this place has gone down hill. It's my local and I won't be coming back for food anytime soon. Spoiled family night out, end up paying for the drinks and leaving. No excuses, people on other tables which came in 30mins plus served food before us. To be told.. . It's getting plated be 5mins.... 23 mins later still no food.

User

Just had a meal at the Abbey Inn, we waited 50 minutes for our meal which was below average. There was a function on and very little staff. Staff lovely, but stressed. We will never eat there again.
