My name is Cory Bowie, owner of Aberdeenshire Blinds. Blinds have been in my family since the 1970s - my Granda ran a successful blinds company, Euroflex for nearly 40 years. As a six year old, I started taking an interest in the manufacturing of the blinds at the Euroflex shop in Fraserburgh. My Granda, noting my enthusiasm and not letting an opportunity go to waste, had me started off making metallic venetian slats every Saturday morning for around £1. 50 /hour (not bad for a 6 year old in 1989! ). From that time on, I have helped out with the manufacture and fitting of various other types of blinds and have always taken a great deal of satisfaction on seeing the finished product. I feel the time is right to set-up my own company. My Granda will still be involved with the company, passing on his knowledge and experience. I hope to continue on working with the same values as my Granda did in the Euroflex days, that being to provide a friendly, reliable and high quality service.
