Wonderful charity and much needed resource in Paisley.

They were there for myself and my family when we needed them most all members of the team from cleaners .kitchen staff. nurses and doctors all helped by listening and providing support at a very difficult time in our lives and helped to make the journey no more difficult than it had to be in can't thank them enough .

User

They helped my Dad when he was very ill, and also where really good and kind with the family, always offering us a friendly word or a cup of tea or something to eat ........ cant thank them enough in what they did for us as a Family <3

I will never be able to fully show my gratitude to all the staff at the Accord for the marvelous care given to my husband Steve and I, in the last days of his life. The humanity and empathy shown were greater than I would have thought possible. They made the most difficult time in my life so much more manageable.

User

I can't thank all the staff at Accord enough for the care they provided to my brother and my family - they went way beyond the call of duty to look after all of us. A special mention goes to Alison Auld who facilitated his return home for a few weeks then his re-admittance when his condition deteriorated. We always felt welcome and never felt rushed when we visited and it was such a comfort to know he was in great hands. Every member of staff deserves an OBE for their efforts and I'm sure my brother would like a special award to go to Allan, the chef, who became his new BFF in his final weeks! Thank you again for making the unthinkable bearable.

I can never thank the accord staff enough for all the care and support they gave to me and my mum during her time there last month. These people are true angels. They made what was the most difficult few weeks of my life bearable, they are always smiling, always there to give you cuddle . They made my mum's last few weeks of life the most comfortable she could be and always dignified. I will always be grateful to have had these people in my life at that time. Also I don't know what id have done without the support of lovely joy Elliot the family councillor a truly wondeful lady x we managed to raise over £450 At my mum's funeral x

User

Great job looking after patients in the hospice.

From start to finish the Light Up A Life was organised with the usual care and thoughtfulness that you always get from all at the Accord Hospice! It was lovely to be there as the candlelit procession led by a piper arrived at the hospice. The kind words of welcome, songs from a young Paisley singer, joining in the carol singing and the words of remembering that special someone and not forgetting the lovely hot soup at the end, all led to the most memorable switching on of Christmas lights I've ever been to! So thank you all at the Accord Hospice!

Accord hospice staff were fantastic looking after my mum who passed away just over a month ago in her final days and made sure my mum was comfortable and treated with dignity and couldn't do enough to help me and my family at this difficult time , they also did an amazing job of looking after my dad in the last few months of his life 21yrs ago, that,s why we had a collection at mum,s funeral and raised over £300 for accord.

A poem from my mum Lorraine Elmes who sent me this in my dreams.

In my final days

As I waited

You had your ways

You made me smile

You made me laugh

You gave me drugs

You gave me hugs

As my family tried cope

You gave them hope

As the guiding Angels

You held my hand

I like my bands

I like my planet rock music

As I waited you showed me the stop

My bus arrived and off I went

I look back and want say

Thank you for your love

As I look from above

One last line is all I need as this is not essay

Thank you again for your amazing love and care without you my wait may not have been so easy
