We stayed with our two young daughters for 4 nights in October. We stayed in Room 1, the family room. It had three single beds and bunk beds which the kids loved. The room was clean and very comfortable.
There was a dressing area between the bedroom and the large en suite bathroom and more than enough room for all of us. The view from the bedroom window is spectacular.
We cooked our own dinner most nights in the large well set up kitchen and ate in the lovely cosy dining room. We loved the flexibility that this set-up offered. The sitting room at the front of the house also offers a great view and is a superb place to sit and watch the abundant birdlife in the garden. The log burner was kept well stocked and there's a good selection of books and games too.
Breakfast was fantastic. There's a great selection of cereals and freshly made tea and coffee. The highlight though has to be the freshly baked bread which our girls couldn't get enough of!
Matt, Rachel and Margaret are excellent and friendly hosts as well as having superb knowledge of local places of interest to visit, both the regular tourist spots such as Iona and the nearby beaches but also of some hotspots for local wildlife and without their help we almost certainly wouldn't have seen otters and sea eagles!
Overall we had a fabulous stay and will certainly be back!

We showed up here without a reservation on our way through Mull, and Matt and Rachel were very accommodating. This was our favorite B&B of our two week trip around the Highlands. The room was simple and clean, the kitchen is open for your use as you need, and the wifi works great. Also - Rachel makes the BEST homemade bread!

A very nice place to stay on Mull. We felt at home during the night we spent there . The only regret I have is that we didn't stay longer ! Very pleasant with our baby : travel coat and high chair available .
Thank you!

Excellent accommodation in a peaceful, beautiful location. Excellent self-catering facilities; stylish, spacious rooms with touches of luxury. Highly recommended.

My girlfriend and I booked a last min trip to Mull and chose Achaban House for its location - west of Mull, remote and peaceful but within walking distance of Fionphort and car distance of beaches and scenery.

The House is well set up for all types of travellers - families, couples, adventurers - with a massive, well-equipped kitchen for guest use. Rachel, one of the hosts, makes delicious bread (the seeded loaf was amazing) so your breakfast is taken care of. You can use the kitchen for your own evening meals and lunch prep. This kitchen is the best I've seen by some distance (and I've stayed in a few hostels or self-catering places) as it has loads of equipment.

We stayed in two different rooms (due to our last minute booking) and they were both lovely - little touches like Harris Tweed cushions, locally-woven throws and USB ports in the power sockets showed a good mix of modern, stylish comfort. You can feel how much effort has gone into making the House welcoming and luxurious but at a very very reasonable price.

Location-wise - you are within walking distance of Fionphort to get to the pub/restaurant, the shops, and the ferries to Iona and Staffa (the puffin pic was on staffa). Oh, and Loch Pottie's trout are very willing to take a fly, and Matt, the host, will allow you to fish the Loch and give you a few pointers.

Highly recommended; we'll go back.
