Achbeag is a cosy, comfortable holiday cottage set in a remote location on the southern shore of Loch Torridon on the Applecross peninsula.

Achbeag Description

Achbeag is a warm and comfortable traditional croft cottage on the Applecross peninsula. It has one double bedroom (en suite) and a twin bedroom, a cosy sitting room with a lovely multi-fuel stove, and a well-equipped kitchen. A travel cot and high chair are available for small children and dogs are welcome. The cottage is situated on the remote southern shore of Loch Torridon, between Applecross and Shieldaig. It is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful and dramatic Applecross peninsula and Torridon, with its lovely beaches, mountains and coastline. There are rare species of mosses and lichens in the ancient hazel woodlands and deer, otters and pine martens can be spotted. Excellent local food is available within a half-hour's drive, both in Applecross and Shieldaig. Boat trips are available from Shieldaig and Gairloch. The cottage is approximately 1 1 /2 hour's drive from Inverness and 5 1 /2 hour's drive from Edinburgh.
