A ginger and white cat has been brought in to the surgery. Sadly it had passed away before it was brought in and looks to have been in a RTA. Heā€™s not been neutered or microchipped and was found in Lauchope Street , Chapelhall. If you think it might be your cat , could you please contact the practice on 01236763541

Her name is Bella . If anyone knows the owner could they get in contact with them and get them to contact the practice . Thanks Acres

This is Jock, he was playing with this ball today when it got stuck in his throat and he was rushed in for emergency treatment. Thankfully the ball was retrieved and Jock is doing great! We just wanted to take this opportunity to remind everyone to use appropriate sized balls for the size of dog, Jock will be sticking to footballs from now on!

It came to our attention that a local ā€œrescueā€ charity posted a defamatory video naming our surgery. While we would normally refuse publicly to respond to issues like this, the wide reach of the video and the fact that many of our valued clients will have seen it has meant we felt the need to respond. Unlike the charity we are strictly bound by professional and ethical regulations and also maintain respect for the client involved who has no doubt als...o suffered a significant amount of distress due to the factually inaccurate report. I have chosen not to share the post or name the charity. While I can only assume the charity is working with good intentions it is at best disheartening for this to come from a body who should be working with other professionals with the same interests rather than openly against us, this can only serve to negate much of the work they do. I can say unequivocally that none of our vets would ever recommend euthanasia of a healthy animal as anything other than a last resort when all other avenues had been exhausted. In this case we actively encouraged and supported other options as then happened. In a time where veterinary professions are under greater pressure than ever, with the suicide rate of vets being 4 times the national average, I feel very strongly with regards protecting the reputation of our practice and my colleagues. False and defamatory posts such as this vilifying our profession are unfortunately not unusual and I have no doubt add to the significant mental stress our profession is already under. Despite being presented with the facts the original poster has refused to respond or retract , instead appearing to prefer to leave click bait posts serving little purpose to the truth. While it is easy to let these posts drag us down the many messages of support we have had from clients has been heartwarming. Unlike the charity involved we would like to refrain from any further negativity so instead I have decided to share just a few pictures of some of the hundreds of stray, neglect, abuse cases our vets and nurses have over the years spent many many hours and funded with our own money rehabilitating and rehoming - including perhaps one of the most ā€œaggressiveā€ to date - who can forget the crazy Valentina who is now the worlds happiest lapcat!
