Not many of you know this, but I only train 10 personal training clients at any given time, so I can make sure you have my brain fresh, your have my full attention and I can offer you all the back up support you might need. Well as of Monday 22nd April I have 1 personal training slot coming available as my lovely client is moving away😭. If you think you might like to come and train with me, check out the information provided and if that doesn't put you off, answer this short questionnaire so I can check I have the right knowledge for you - https://docs.google.com/…/1FAIpQLScj8HG ettQmbyfYC…/viewform…

I am super excited. Since the beginning of the year we (Clare and I) have been planning a series of workshops that encompass all my favourite parts of my job - education, inspiring, social and food. So on Friday 26th April at 11am for around an hour, but of course you can stay longer if you enjoying your coffee, snacks and chat.
I will be doing an interactive talk on how what you put into your stomach that can help with your mind. Why this topic? Well it’s pretty close to... my heart. As many of you know I make no secret of that fact I have suffered with severe depression before, as I like to remove the stigma that can follow mental health. Although I am much better now, I do try and keep a nice sense of balance, especially where my gut is concerned. So if you would like to come and find out how what you eat can help you feel in a happier place, grab your free ticket, and feel free to bring a friend or two.

Enjoying a little bit of Sunday reading, loving #atomichabits by James Clear, and think this sums up how we should look at improving our health and fitness, small habit change by small habit change, rather than changing everything at once and becoming despondent when we fail

Help needed!! Exciting times - as of March I am holding FREE Coffee Morning Workshops once a month - coffee, healthy snacks, lovely social chit chat and a bit of learning, all under one roof. So I thought I'd let you lovely people decide on the first topic. Choose one of the following titles, and feel free to add anything you'd like to learn about in the comments section, and you never know it might be added to the workshop programme

Mmmm today’s #activebites were nutty flapjacks - 3tbsp of peanut butter, 1tbsp of coconut butter both melted. Then in the meantime blitz in the food processor - 1 cup of gf oats, 8 dates, 1tbsp of raisin, 1tbsp of dried cranberries, 2tsp of honey, 3tbsp of mixed seeds (I used sunflower, pumpkin and flax seeds and 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder. Once blitzed, add the melted butters and stir in well. Pack into a tin lined with parchment paper of cling film and leave to set in the fridge overnight. Then the best bit - eat

I love this quote by Owen O'Kane. Simply it means some people have great positive energy and make us feel great about ourselves. Sadly some people drain out our positivity and enthusiasm. This continues across all aspects of your life, but with change you need support. So seek out your friends and family that support you, inspire you and drive you, and create healthy boundaries to those that knock your self esteem and passion.

Be Kind To Yourself Any change is hard, so don't beat yourself up if one day you blow your healthy eating plan or don't make it down the gym. Instead continue your day the best you can and resume the next day. We are very quick to label ourselves as lazy or a failure etc when we don't achieve what we set out to do that day, but all we end up doing is knocking our self esteem and making the whole change process horrendous, and who would want to continue then? Instead focus on what you have managed that day, even if in your eyes it was just having no sugar in your cuppa this morning, its still 3g less sugar than you could have had.

So this year you may want to eat less chocolate, drink less gin (!!!), run more, eat more veg, sleep more and so on. But to expect yourself to get up the next day and accomplish all of these is going to leave you seriously disappointed with yourself, and over time you are setting yourself up to fail. Instead pick one habit to change, and start with that. Then after a week or two, add your next habit. This way you can really focus, being more realistic, and kinder to yourself.
