Adam Wallace Fineart Description

Born in 1981, Adam is a native of the historic city of Edinburgh. He is an artist who creates; drawings, paintings, moody portraits and abstract still life pictures, that are not always what they seem. He is the great grandson of Dr R. Douglas Strachan, the world renowned Scottish designer of stained glass. Coming from an Artistic family, Adam, was always encouraged to pursue a career in the visual arts. In 2000 He won a place at the internationally recognised Glasgow School of Art, where he studied for a BA in Drawing and Painting. During this time Adam followed his passion for figurative art – citing Peter Howson and Lucian Freud as his inspiration. As well as concentrating on life drawing and the paintings techniques of the old masters such as Caravaggio and Sassoferrato.

Adam now lives with his partner Nikkie and two children, (and)working full time as a painter in his studio in the bohemian Leith shore area of Edinburgh.

He works on commission and also sells his own narrative paintings and drawings though local exhibitions, word of mouth and his Facebook page.
