Front of house staff was really nice and obliging back of house staff were ignorant. The room was clean. The rest of the hotel was covered in filth. The food was not very good. The worst holiday of my life.

Had a brilliant holiday with national holidays. Nice clean hotel and room with a good choice on offer at breakfast and evening meals and nice staff serving. Also enjoyed the evening entertainment.

We have just got to the hotel, pleasantly surprised by it. After reading reviews before hand nobody seemed to like it. We had a nice greeting from the staff, nice evening meal good choice of food. Very quite at night good breakfast typical Scottish one. And a very nice room TV nicely furnished for what we paid who's to complain thank you national holidays.

We arrived shortly after 8pm and while the welcome in the room said meals were available up to 8.30, reception informed us they had stopped serving. We slept with the radio on low to try and block out corridor noise with banging doors. The room was clean and probably recently decorated and had a nice carpet. Whilst the bathroom was clean, it was very dated with an avocado suite (apart from the bath which was white and didn't match). The bath looked like it had been bodged into place with grout and sealant everywhere that hasn't been cleaned off. Bed very comfy. Between reception and the rooms was a weird warehouse-like transition corridor. The fire door here was not shut as they were not closed in the right order to match the mitres. I feel we paid more than it was worth but the overall experience was adequate. Just not worth £59.

Advertised as a 3 star hotel, we had booked in for the night as our flight into Glasgow Prestwick arrived late in the evening.

"Club" room was the size of a prison cell, and probably less luxurious than one. No toiletries in the bathroom, tiles falling off the bathroom wall and room looked like it had not been updated since the 80's.

The advertised "Full Scottish Breakfast" was nothing short of a joke. No orange juice, no eggs, no bacon. After a while some eggs arrived and when we enquired about the bacon we were told that they had run out. Perhaps they hotel should change their description of breakfast to a "Full Vegetarian Scottish Breakfast" or simply have an inmate serve porridge in keeping with the general theme of the place.

We sent an email of complaint to the hotel and the customer service manager informed us that he could only offer us his "Sincere apologies" which made us feel so much better, having being short changed on the hotel room and advertised breakfast .

Having checked Trip advisor and Google reviews since then, we have realised that many others have had the same complaints about this hotel.

With so many other nice hotels in the area in the same price bracket, don't ruin your stay to this lovely part of Scotland by staying here.

If you would like to stay in higher quality accommodation, with more space, better sanitary facilities, better food and friendlier service, then simply swear at the first policeman you meet at the airport and they will be happy to put you up for the night. Free of charge.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Not worth one star I would not stay in the room. I was sorry for the receptionist she did apologize for the state of the hotel. The photos are of the main building and do not represent a true image where most of the bedrooms are

Need to train staff to be able to check you in

The worst hotel I have ever been in. Disgusting food. Unfriendly staff. 1 bar to serve 400 guests with 2 grumpy barman and in place of one a nasty cheeky foreign bar maid. Inflated bar prices. Crap entertainment but don't worry not enough seats for everyone to watch or listen. I spent 4 days/3 nights there & no housemaid in all that time. Broken tiles in bathroom and rusty plug holes. The list could go on. I wasted my money going there
