Old Oban Oban Bay has provided food and shelter to mankind since Mesolithic times. Evidence of early cave dwellers has been found in several locations in the centre of Oban, coincidentally at Oban Distillery – around which modern day Oban grew. Before the development of the distillery, founded in 1794, Oban was a shadow of the town it is today, with little in the way of housing and only a small quarry and shipbuilding industry. Once the distillery was in production, Oban began shipping the alcohol; along with wool, slate and kelp, to larger ports such as Liverpool and Glasgow and the town began its rapid expansion.

Seems to be a common thing at the moment , it's like trolls going round giving shit reviews on business pages just for the fun of it ! Imagine having a life that sad an empty that this is what you do for fun ??? 🙄🙄

We are staying 4 nights the room is so big and clean lovely big shower and George and Margaret are so welcoming would definitely recommend it to my family and friends xx

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ce guesthouse. L'accueil a été chaleureux. Les personnes qui en sont propriétaires sont très sympathiques et font tout pour que le séjour soit le plus agréable possible. La chambre est très jolie et le lit très confortable. La salle de bain est neuve et vraiment très propre et fonctionnelle. un must sur les 3 réservations différentes que nous avons faites en écosse. Des fruits, des viennoiseries, des gâteaux secs sont remis tous les jours pour notre bonheur....et nos petites faims ou déjeuner du matin. l'endroit est très calme et à 5mn du centre ville. Je recommande fortement cet établissement à toute personne voulant visiter cette belle ville d'Oban.



We really enjoyed this guesthouse. The welcome was warm. The people who own them are very friendly and do everything to make the stay as pleasant as possible. The room is very pretty and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom is new and really very clean and functional. a must on the 3 different reservations we made in Scotland. Fruit, pastries, biscuits are delivered every day for our happiness .... and our little hungers or breakfast in the morning. the place is very quiet and 5 minutes from the city center. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit this beautiful city of Oban

Lovely modern fresh & clean villa right in a central location. Loved every minute of my stay and the owners were so welcoming and lovely! Would highly recommend anyone looking for a wee weekend away to book here! Loads of complimentary continental breakfast and snacks etc! Defo be back soon xxx

Enjoyed a lovely stay in the Adelphi Villa bringing in 2017. Has a real 'home away from home' feel and is situated in an excellent location, minutes away from Oban's town centre. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Oban and we hope to return again ourselves in the future! Thanks for a lovely stay :)
