Great cycling in the forest.

Love coming here for walks and cycling

One of the 7 stane mountain bike trails, great for walks too.

Well one likes to ride down the hill, and one happened to spend most of the day sweating like a badger going up the hills! For what can only be called no return at all! I've had more satisfaction from a wet fart! I'd rather ride my mother... and I have... it was better than this and less sweaty! Over and out ✌🏿

The riding here is pretty great as trail centres go, although a quick rider will be around the course in under an hour rather than the 1.5 - 3 hours given as an estimate.
Make no mistake though, there are some difficult sections and you will need a good bike and helmet.

The café is great: Decent hearty food and hot/cold drinks. Very friendly staff and clean loos/toilets. Exactly what you want.
The bike shop looks well-stocked with the sorts of things you might need at a trail centre (new bars, helmets, brake pads etc)

Parking is plentiful and cheap.

If you think wind farms are cool, you've got a treat in store too at the top of one of the climbs.

Always a good time. The red is a gigantic killer that's hard to resist. It's a proper, all-encompassing trail that will keep you coming back

So handy for the services around the area

Really like Ae, has the trail centre routes but there seems to be a more remote and away from it all setting. Cafe, shop and Showers are always excellent.

User

Great mtb trails no matter what type of riding you do. Good facilities.

I went for mountain biking with my girlfriend. It's a fairly nice forest but it feels like a lot of climbing for not that much reward. Its really rough too. Good cafe, bike shop, toilets, shower, bike wash. I need to go back and try the "off piste'.
