What are "flat feet"?
Flat feet, also commonly referred to as "fallen arches", "pes plano valgus" or "overpronation" in some instances, describes the flattening of the arch in your foot and can be caused by a number of issues.
The main cause of flat feet is caused by strain on the Tibialis Posterior tendon which supports the arch of your foot. Other common causes include certain medical conditions such as Rheumatoid arthritis and injury/trauma to the rearfoot.
