We would like to invite you to the annual Heritage Open Day at Peckover House and Garden in Wisbech this Saturday 8th September to view our Trust New Art commission, Transitions in Time and to explore the hidden corners of this beautiful Georgian Townhouse.
This is an opportunity for visitors of all ages to join us between 11.30am - 3pm in some free drop-in drawing activities inspired by the house and garden and in response to some of the themes in Transitions in Time.
We w...ill also be displaying a selection of images in Lord Peckover's Bedroom from some of the workshops we have recently been involved in with local community groups. These will be accompanied by a short film by Rob Hill about the making of Transitions in Time.

Artist Led Workshop at ELAN studio
Aid & Abet invite participants to take part in a practice led workshop and discussion.
Through the processes of sand casting of natural objects or shapes made by hands and working with raw clay participants will create small scale sculptures that will fit, complement or extend from the body through the action of holding.
... Participants will be asked to explore the materiality of clay, sand and plaster, considering how touch can inform the making of the work, and how we can think through the process of making and working intuitively with materials.
The workshop will result in a series of photographs that explore both the process of making and the relationship of sculpture to the hand.
Aid & Abet invite participants to join them for food at the end of the practical session.
The workshop is free and open to adults living or working in Cambridge. To book a place please send us a message on FB or email david@aidandabet.co.uk. Spaces are very limited and will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
This workshop is part of the outreach programme for a permanent work of public art 'CORPUS' by Dalziel + Scullion that has been commissioned by the University of Cambridge for the new Capella building on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus
