this was an amazing trip , there was only the two of us, but we paid the money equivelant of a boat which was not expensive and we had 2 1/2 hours on the island, it was amazing, full of industrial relics of a time gone past and some of not not that long ago, the old cottages workers used have been left, not preserved but left as they were I would say early 80's given there is a readers digest left in one of the rooms, and the furniture left behind is i'd say of that era, you can walk to one of the foghorns along the beach, and you can go up to the castle and indeed to the top of the hill, but we just didn't have time, betime we'd wandered all round the relics of a bygone time, we met the boat back on the pier, then we had a tour of the island and the bonus and best bit was, when we were on the island the skipper and his mate went off fishing and i'm guessing it was makrel which he then fed to the gannets, what an amazing sight this was, incredible to see so many birds at such close range diving for the fish, it was worth every penny to see what we saw that day excellant
