Aitken & Niven has grown its online business, and boasts successful sports and school uniform online shops, placing it at the forefront of twenty-first century retail.
Our Edinburgh city store in Morningside, is somewhat larger than the original store, which was founded by Robert Aitken in 1905 (a short distance from George Street, at 46 Queensferry Street).
Although Aitken & Niven has seen dramatic growth over the years, its emphasis firmly remains on quality products and service.

Cricket Season arrives at Aitken&Niven for 2017
You can not fault them on customer service as it is one of the best you will receive from a retailer I have found . The staff know their stuff regarding any sports equipment or sports clothes or shoes . I would have given 5 stars but I do find they are slightly over priced on some items . If they offered a price match like John Lewis or other shops it would defiantly help the customer and themselves to achieve the sale . It is still a great shop and highly recommend . I buy most of my sons rugby and cricket equipment there and sports clothes and its my sons favourite shop . �
Very disappointed in the mark up on the Beavers uniform I have just purchased in your Perth store. I expected it to more than the scout shop but I don't know how you justify 40%.
New website/online shopping setup through Stevensons is awful, you have to register with full contact details just to browse.
