Alamo Rent A Car

AVOID THEM PLEASE!!! And save yourself a lot of money. I tell you why. I rented a Volvo v40, the car was fine at first. I purchased an upgraded insurance, which brought down my excess cost from Ł1200 (which is ridiculously high anyway) to Ł100. Then driving about 100 miles, I heard a cracking noise. The windshield suddenly cracked just in front of me for about 15cm long, there was not any stone hitting it, just out of the blue it cracked. I called them, drove to the nearest place, got a new car, same extra insurance, this was fine. Returned the new car without any problem and they subtracted the Ł100 excess from my deposit because of the cracked windshield. After about 2 weeks I got a letter from them that the repair cost was more than Ł100 and they charge extra Ł85+$25 handling fees to my credit card, which is happened just now. I will NEVER use their zero service, lot of honest rental companies are out there.
