Alan Ross & Roisin Smith For Lochee Description
Alan has been a local Councillor representing Lochee ward since 2007.
He is a former pupil of Ancrum Road Primary School and Menzieshill High School, and a single father to his 6 year old daughter. Alan lives in Lochee, was brought up here and has lived here all his life.
Alan has been Convener of the Community Safety and Public Protection Committee since April 2016. Within that time he has been working closely with our community safety partners across the city including Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue.
Alan will be very proud to be re-elected again for Lochee together with his SNP colleague and new candidate, Roisin Smith.
Roisin is 44 years old, and a proud mum to Ethan who is 19 and Rebecca who is 21.
Roisin started her career in banking, then moved on to work with Shelter Scotland as a money and debt adviser. For the last 2 years Roisin has been employed as a caseworker for Chris Law MP and Joe FitzPatrick MSP based in the heart of Lochee.
Roisin will be proud to bring energy, fresh eyes and a strong female voice for Lochee and will work hard as a councillor to help in the fight for social justice.

Following a discussion with the TSB, we can confirm that we have been told categorically that the reduction in opening hours is in no way a stepping stone to a closure of the branch.
It is disappointing that the branch will not be open on as many days during the week but the new opening hours have been designed around the current usage of the branch.
Whilst we appreciate that many of our constituents would prefer to see the branch retain its current opening hours, it is reassuring that this is part of much wider reshaping of services across the country and the branch will remain part of the local community.
We were concerned this week to receive notification of the proposed changes to opening hours of the TSB in Lochee High St.
We have requested a meeting with the TSB to discuss these proposals, the impact on the local community and constituents concerns for the future.
We absolutely understand that people will be concerned by these proposals and will provide a further update once we have had a chance to discuss this in more detail with the bank.

We have both campaigned for some time for a new clock on Lochee High Street. We are both pleased to have received assurances from our City Development colleagues confirming this will be brought forward soon. Huge credit must go to the community regeneration forum for their hard work on this.
